One of the compilations of 2023 Curses' Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX saw the Berlin-based Musician and DJ explore the darker side of club music. Bringing together 49 tracks that joined the dots between early industrial pioneers, EBM legends and post-punk bands with some of the most exciting artists around today this was a celebration of the kind of raw electronic music best performed live in smoke filled clubs. One might suspect that between this and the first equally acclaimed, and substantial, Next Wave Acid Punx album clubland's gothic vaults might be eerily empty. But, just as every good live act knows, you should hold something special back for an encore, and so Curses is back with Next Wave Acid Punx DEUX - Secret Cuts, 11 bonus tracks that all deserve their own moment in the strobe light.

H I S H (Hashem Salameh) drifts through the dim corners of sound — a Palestinian DJ and curator based in Amman, shaping slow-burning stories that pulse between shadow and light. His sets move through Dark Disco, EBM, Electro, Indie Dance, and the deeper shades of DownTempo / MidTempo, tracing emotion through rhythm and raw texture.

Rooted in displacement yet grounded in movement, his sound carries both nostalgia and defiance — echoes of identity, memory, and motion colliding on the dancefloor.

From the endless silence of the Wadi Rum desert to the charged basements of Mass, Plastik, Chaos Basement, and Zorba Downtown, H I S H sculpts experiences that feel both ancient and new, both personal and universal.

As a co-creator of the hobtape collective, he helps carve a new voice for Jordan’s emerging underground — a space where community and experimentation intertwine.

His latest journeys have surfaced across SoundCloud radios and channels, with a forthcoming hobtape collaboration continuing the exploration — deeper, slower, and ever more human.
