The latest release on Tash’s Movement Recordings welcomes Marc DePulse to the label for his debut EP. The German artist closed out a successful 2017 with the release of his critically acclaimed ‘Kontrollverlust’ on Einmusika. Marc has also been a regular contributor to Selador, Parquet Recordings, Click Records and his own Jeahmon imprint. You might say his Movement Recordings debut is long overdue and thus highly anticipated, coming alongside remixes from Stan Kolev and Nikko.Z.

Known for his pristinely produced and distinctly modern productions Marc showcases some of his finest ever work on the lead track ‘The Swarm’. Aptly coined with it’s buzzing synth motifs, it’s an engaging eight minute journey built around punchy beats and tight rhythmic structures. Melancholia comes in the form of a tastefully twisted arp which ebbs and flows throughout the framework, before building to a cosmic sizzle during the main break. The companion piece ‘No Sleep’ proves to be the ideal complement with it’s shifted rhythms and gentle yet all encompassing purr. Wonderfully warped in all the right ways it’s a cross pollinated slice of electronica tech that’s sure to delight even the most discerning of dance floors.

The lone interpretation of ‘The Swarm’ is provided by Stan Kolev who is making his Movement Recordings debut. The Bulgarian artist has been a mainstay of the electronic music underground for well over a decade. Releases on Armada, Blackhole and Spinnin highlight his discography. More recently Stan has been dominating Beatport’s Progressive House charts with a string of outings on his Outta Limits imprints. Now making his first appearance on Movement he takes ‘The Swarm’ into pure progressive territory with a warm, rolling groove and free flowing rhythms. The main theme translates wonderfully, shifting energy into a stripped down second act and building tension through a haze of astral effects, before a massive drop seals it’s dance floor brilliance.

We asked Julian Wassermann about his fave Einmusika track and he picked “La Danse Du Scorpion“ by Sébastien Léger - the one which made the clubs shaking in 2017 and is now putted to the next level with a darker attitude and clubby sounds. Emotional and uplifting comes Paji’s version of “Starlings“ by N’to, what an unique remix - individual and spheric.

Welcome Moritz Hofbauer. The title track „Swallow Some Joy“ with vocals by Johannes Frick is a straight forward tune with a thought-out arrangement and a lot of details.

„Luminous Water“ is more functional and comes with nice shuffling hihats and percussions. „Desert Rose“ rounds off the release and has a dark and technoid attitude.

The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Circle of Life back for a new EP. The Serbian artist made his label debut just over a year ago with the well received 'Black Light'. A subsequent remix for Trapped In Time along with a contribution to the label's popular 'Technical Progress, Vol. 10' collection followed shortly thereafter. Also finding a home on Beat Boutique, BeatFreak Recordings, Suara and Sudbeat Music, Circle of Life now returns to Movement with 'Lpd' alongside remixes from Paul Anthonee and Haze-M.

Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Lpd' is Haze-M who makes his label debut. Highly regarded in the world of melodic house and techno, the Tunisian artist has showcased his music on Beatfreak Recordings, Eleatics Records, Stil Vor Talent and Timeless Moment. Now fresh off a remix for Artessa Music, Haze-M debuts on Movement Recordings with a rousing rendition of 'Lpd'. Drawing on the sensibilities of the original Haze-M leans closer to peak time territory, with a reworked groove and rolling rhythmic core. Kaleidoscopic arps bounce with elastic-like effects, sitting atop a layer of rumbling bass notes and perfectly setting up a break that is both illuminating and tense, before ultimately melting down to a buoyant finale. A powerful take from Haze-M, capping off another excellent offering from Tash's Movement Recordings.

PREMIERE : Circle Of Life - Lpd (Haze-M Remix) [Movement Recordings]

EP number ten, called 'Sanctum EP', comes from the Italian Alberth and the Belgian duo Senses Of Mind. The EP consists of two collaborations between the artists and two originals, one from Alberth and Hydrah on the vocals, and one from the Belgian duo.
The first piece of music is 'Sanctum', the title track of the EP. It's a powerful yet beautiful song that is taking its time before coming down to a long, emotional and melancholic break. When the driving synth hits its highest point of tension, an energetic moment is created which swallows you into this amazing song.
Next is 'Amethist', an emotive track with melodies suspended above a spacious techno framework. The song moves towards moments of ambience and dreamy harmonies and then converges into an energetic and heavy drop, revealing its full potential.
The third track is an original from Alberth. It's called 'Youngblood' and in a very unique way this great piece of modern dance music surely tells a story. It's a driving song with captivating vocals from Hydrah, energetic and powerful yet lush at the same time and before it's even finished you want to hear it all over again.
'Heliotrope', the final cut of the release is a Senses Of Mind original and it perfectly represents their style, with beautiful and well designed synths, surely this track will hit you in the dancefloor and adds the last missing touch to make the EP really complete.
