Prototype's quest to find and attract new and distinguished talent grows with every release. Thus, we hosted "Monotonic Astral", EP signed by the Greek Nicola Boh. From four original tracks and two remixes, the release embraces the variant sounds Techno Melodico and Indie Dance, generating a pleasurable synthetic tour. "Monotonic Astral" opens the album in an essentially melodic track. Next, the version by Vini Pistori, a strong Brazilian talent, brings a remix that proposes an outfit aimed at the more minimalist side of Indie Dance. The tempo takes place with "Norma", a low-frequency track that demonstrates a powerful work with synthesizers and that gained an interpretation of CRUXZ, which adds its signature accelerating the BPMs and proposing a progressive tone.

Ransom Note Records present new signing Natasha Bai, with her debut EP ‘Transsib’; an oneiric voyage through the world of the Russian DJ, musician, producer and vocalist.

“Transsib, short for ‘Trans-Siberian Railway’ is the 9000 km of railroad that connects Moscow with Vladivostok on the Russian Far East. The building of the Transsib Railway helped the founding of my hometown many years ago; Novosibirsk. It’s 50 hours by train from Novosibirsk to Moscow and during this time little life happens” - Natasha Bai

Promoter of the legendary Siberian group «Сто Своих» in the early 2010’s, Natasha Bai now lives in Moscow and plays at the likes of Simachev Bar and tours Russia with «ДК Детка» (‘de-ka-detka’). She is also an NTS, Kiosk Radio, Test FM and Gop Tun regular guest and has released two EPs under her ambient-pop alter ego; Altai Princess. Her debut EP on Ransom Note Records features four track blending genres and imaginary worlds.

Opening track ‘Romantiko’ welcomes skitty beats alongside poppy vocal snippets summoning electro kicks; engaging sonic distortion and synth melodies. “It’s like a bright sunny morning when you wake up happy”.

Title track ‘Transsib’ is a stand-out on the EP for its proggy-trance inflection and ethereal synth keys, mimicking “the sounds of a moving train.” A genre-bending frenzy and a rapturing refrain recall the sound of inertia.

‘Your Kiss’ is inspired by “unhappy love, which happens especially when you’re young.” Expect acid euphoria and eagerness for love and lust, where Natashas’s vocals address the subject of romantic distress.

Closing track ‘Just Say’ is “a little intervention” from her alias Altai Princess, whose music focuses on the outer reaches of ambient-pop. The track notches the tempo down in Altai territory, with the kicks atop the longing lyrics “just say there is only me”.

Transsib EP is a symbol of growth, of “moving through life and moving towards your dreams. From my hometown to the city of my dreams, from my first steps in music to my first EP, from childhood through youth to adulthood. It’s a never-ending journey.”

With Piscolabis , Golden Bug delivers his new work, a sonic UFO oscillating between electronica, robot vibrations and psychedelic dub.

Piscolabis gathers all the vibes, the codes, the styles Antoine Harispuru has been messing with during the years and traces a bold new direction towards new worlds.

And he’s got, on his fourth studio album, an impressive cast of guests : rock act The Liminañas and electronic producer Tim Glass from France , Funboys from Australia, Vega Voga from Japan , Pajaro Sunrise from Spain ; they all help him painting this picture, a project born from opposites confronting each other.

A path starting with Colibri’s substance-drenched, labyrinthic dance floor beat, going on to Variations Sur 3 Bancs featuring The Liminañas take on the acid-western / psych pop universe, taking us hitch-hiking for a while thru Japan with singer Vega Voga for some out-there musical epics, and La Boite Noire takes us dancing, but very very very slowly. Slower. Ok.

Then La Goutte D’Eau starts casting its shadows until Fata Morgana gets her hands on that arpeggiator, which basically keeps us raving on until Nid de guêpes, a mutating obsession, a gateway drug to Bring The Light, featuring Pajaro Sunrise, and to the blinking rainbow road they bring us onto. (This is kinda Golden Bug’s light side.)

The path ends with a triptych : Kotodama Part 1 and 2 (featuring Vega Voga) and Le Chant Des Sirènes, a musical work which perfectly encompasses the trip Antoine Harispuru has taken on this last album of his: a stroll from an indescribable, eccentric, robot-like binary code to shining, moody pop music, and back again.

Pierantonio Gualtieri (iltoro) and Guglielmo Prati (dove quiete) formed ZO:NA in Milan and mix different cultures and backgrounds into transgressive sounds focused on the dance floor.
