The producer and DJ is adept at acid sounds and focuses on both the dark side of the musical spectrum and the synthetic genre of the 80s.

As a DJ, Ruksby is absolutely not limited by stylistic boundaries, but he gives special preference to EBM, Dark Disco, New Beat, Synthwave, Electro. His guest mix is a ritualistic transclucidal flow woven from acid synthesizers, shimmering arpeggios and percussion beating like the pulse of a subterranean giant.  

Each track is a hypnotic ceremony. Slow grooves, like lava waves, envelop the consciousness, dissolving the boundaries between body and ether. Resonant bass lines of TB-303 weave labyrinths, where every turn is a meeting with your own shadow, and the rhythm leads through layers of reality.  

There is no hurry here. Only endless drifting through psychedelic landscapes: neon deserts, oceans of mercury, forests where trees whisper fractals. Synthesizers melt like glass in a flame, drums breathe in time with your pupils, and echoes pull you deeper - to the place where BPM timers are frozen at the "eternity" mark.

JAVIER GÓMEZ a.k.a. JG OUTSIDER is a Spanish DJ and producer from Alicante. Immersed in the vibrant underground of the mid-80s, he began his journey as a DJ during an era defined by EBM, gothic rock, and post-punk shadows.

His production work took off in 1992, leading to collaborations with a range of national and international labels. Over the decades, his sound has evolved and circulated globally, always rooted in the darker pulse of electronic music.

After a creative hiatus, JG Outsider has returned with a deeper, more introspective edge—channeling the sounds of his youth through a modern, live-oriented lens. His current output blends nostalgia and innovation, echoing the atmospheres that shaped him.

He continues to collaborate with artists and labels across the spectrum, but always with a focus on the raw and shadowy sides of EBM, Gothic Pop, Synth Wave, Electro, and Industrial Techno. With its 10th edition, Dalmata Daniel’s split series brings together two artists who have both left their mark on the label’s compilations, now presenting their first full releases on the imprint. Anatolian Weapons and The Spy approach electronic music from different angles, one rooted in hypnotic techno rituals, the other in raw electro and post-punk energy. Both craft sounds that thrive in the shadows of the dancefloor. On the A-side, Anatolian Weapons delivers three cold, hypnotic cuts. "Trapped" opens with heavy EBM percussion and a buzzkill bassline, setting a tense, mechanical tone. "Further Spiralling Down" sinks deeper into darkness with a grinding low end, tight drums, and electro-tinged claps, forming the side’s relentless highlight. "Apathy Through Shock" closes with pounding, catatonic rhythms and a mournful, otherworldly melody, pushing the listener into disorienting depths. Flipping over, The Spy’s raw, electro-driven energy takes hold. "Same Blur" channels sharp electro beats with a punkish sneer and cosmic synth lines. "Falling", featuring The Spy’s own vocals, leans into melancholic new wave, pairing bouncy rhythms with bittersweet melodies. The closing "Pretending" drifts into the darkest corners, offering low-slung, haunted electro layered with distant, spectral harmonies.

About

I started my musical journey through hair metal & mo-town from my parents. It was quite an eclectic mix on my little iPod shuffle I'll tell you. I learned how to play trumpet in the middle school band around the 3rd grade and eventually gravitated towards playing bass guitar.  I eventually discovered electronic music sometime in high school and it really rocked my world. I started DJ'ing on a little Numark controller, eventually trying to mix rock & indie dance vinyl on two belt drive turntables in my folks basement, that was a time.... Then I discovered my first DAW ( I think Cakewalk Sonar 7) and became enthralled with music production and being able to take all of the parts I'd hear in my brain and assemble them together myself on a computer. I ultimately went to college to study music business and sort of gave up the bass and went all in on music production and the deeper sounds of the underground dance music scene. I went on to work (briefly) at WME before deciding the super corporate agent life wasn't for me, then had a stint of general managing the RINSED crew in Brooklyn for a while before dabbling in management and eventually winding my way back to being an agent for the last 7 years. That all said, I was always DJ'ing and producing music the entire time, just with a deep feeling of imposter syndrome since I represented or worked with so many of the artists I deeply respected and loved and buried myself in my work. There came a point where I realized I needed to take a big step back from the business side of what I loved to really truly appreciate what it was that made me fall in love with it. The last two years, I've been focused solely on figuring out my own sound and developing it without fear or the intense burden of a 24/7 job in the music business. I was going to shows every weekend for years and years of my life and all of a sudden completely stopped for more than a year. By separating myself from it all, I really think I've been able to craft the unadulterated sonic "me".

How did the meaning of the tarot card inspire the journey of this mix?

I've been writing a lot of darker "end of times" themed music (go figure given the current state of the world) so when I picked this card I had a general direction of where I wanted to go with the mix. Or at least, I thought I did. Such a powerful humbling deity card had me revising and re-thinking track selection and tension in a very focused way. I wanted to keep within the theme of total chaos and obliteration while still keeping to my own playful sound. It's definitely much darker and harder than I would "normally" play but once I figured out the arc of where I wanted to go with it, it all fit right into place.
