The past 4 years have nothing short of the good, the bad, the ugly, and of course, the beautiful. Steyoyoke thanks you, our old and new fans, for the substructure of love and support upon which this label is built. We bring you ultramodern remixes of our liveliest tracks from 2015 on the latest EP, Steyoyoke Anniversary Vol. 04, to celebrate the new year, including remixes by: Philipp Kempnich, Cid Inc, Oliver Schories, MIDAS 104, and Jonas Saalbach.

Philip Kempnich remixes Aaryon and Ran Salman's 'Riptide', fundamentally shifting the patterns of sound consistently to leave you with an ever-pleased, tingly aural sensation. Cid Inc brings us his take on Nick Devon's 'The Poem' featuring Miroir, taking advantage of the earthy bass line through a complimentary arrangement. Oliver Schories faced Soul Button and BLANCAh's 'Rising Silence' turning this track into a twisted fantasy guaranteed to engulf you. MIDAS 104 approaches Animal Picnic's 'Gravity' with a bold confidence evident in the layout of this true anthem of ethereal techno, with a hint of funk! Lastly, but not leastly, Jonas Saalbach remixes Dahu and MPathy's 'Shattered' sticking to the darkness that is, while adding minimalistic elements to make this track simultaneously sink in and pop out in the most unpredictable and astounding ways.

Thank you to all our long-time fans that have loved us from the start, and to our new fans who we welcome with open arms into our family. Our crew at the Upon.You Records offices is keeping the release schedule busy these days, constantly scanning the scene for new and upcoming talent and keen to pick an exquisite selection of club tracks for the labels catalogue. Therefore we're glad to announce the arrival of Innellea, a highly talented production team from Munich which has been leaving some marks on the scene with their 2016 singles on Musica Autonomica and Underyourskin Records.Lillith, the first track on this three track single, is on a quite groove tip, presenting a hot, stripped down take on TechHouse as a solid foundation for intricate melodic structures which are ever building up until a warm and welcoming vintage synth motif caters heaps of bass for bubbling crowds.With the title track Apate the Munich-based duo brings in more decent tropical heat for heaving dancefloors which are getting an extra thrill from ever background percussions with a slightly latin-influenced twist, a distinct, repetetive motif, a super dense athmosphere and a sexy as fuck lead organ catering the ultimate, hormone-driven swing to set every club on fire. Finally Imignie weighs in a slightly more futuristic flavour, combining super dry bassdrums and micro sweeps in its intro sequence, later accompanied by a overwhelmingly climactive bass drone and spiralling synths sharing space with mystic atmospheres, all together taking us and the ravers on the floor to new, unexplored realms of out consciousness.

PREMIERE: Innellea - Lillith (Original Mix) [Upon You Records]

beGun from Barcelona lands in Sincopat putting the focus on the Kiribati islands (Pacific Ocean) as the next destination in this particular electronic music journey. This new work presents two tracks whose names, Kuria and Vostok, correspond to the two most remote capitals of the insular complex and also two of the places that are suffering the most from global warming, and may disappear in the coming decades because of the continuous rise in sea level. In the words of the same producer:

"The goal of aiming at that inhospitable place to a musical level is to be able to contribute my part in the awareness of the effects of climate change, because it would be very unfortunate that in 10 years those two songs are still there while the two towns who gave their names have disappeared from the map”.

With this EP, beGun broadens its own musical spectrum without neglecting its recognized and unique creative personality: always elegant, landscaping and porous in the face of ethnic references through the use of local folk instruments combined with complex rhythms, penetrating basses and atmospheres charged of melancholia. For the remixes, AFFKT gives his own vision of Kuria giving it more musicality with thicker and live synths. For the part we welcome the duo Brigado Crew, who offers a more massive Deep House remix but with a breakdown clearly emotional and vibrant.

Hicky & Kalo's Montreal-based imprint Plaisirs Sonores Records continues its rapid ascension to the fore of the scene with a lethal new two track EP led the label bosses themselves. The original cut from the Canadian pair is titled 'Astre', and it comes strapped an inimitable remix from ethereal techno master and founder of Steyoyoke; Soul Button.

'Astre' is a memorable melodic anthem with a signature groovy rhythm, it's certain to light up the dance-floor.

Since 2016, Soul Button has only ever released music via his own label, so it is a very special occasion as Hicky & Kalo welcome him to the ranks of Plaisirs Sonores. His remix of 'Astre' is a beautiful dreamy piece with angelic bells and hypnotic shakers.
