The title track contains a solid and straight groove, with some vocals from the chief of the tribe, ideal spell for dance rituals , having interpretations by Überhaupt & Außerdem and Jean Vayat, then the song Amaterasu, brings the power of the goddess of the sun in Japanese mythology, along with this strong mantra the versions of Eternal Moment, Emorine and Zuma Dionys. Sound Avenue opens the fall season with a new single from label boss Madloch and frequent studio partner Subnode. Having been paired since the summer of 2018, the creative synergy between Madloch and Subnode has continued to grow. The Belgian duo have released eight originals and a remix since beginning their collaborative partnership. Their borderless approach to production has found the duo in the creative space between house and techno, oftentimes with a glacial, dubbed-out quality that appeases the underground's most discerning tastemakers. Now following their ‘A Short Moment' single to commemorate Another Life Music's 100th release, Madloch and Subnode return to their comfortable home of Sound Avenue with ‘Utopia', alongside remixes from Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile and Microlot.

The first interpretation of ‘Utopia' is provided by Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile who make their label debut. With a partnership that now spans well over a decade, the Argentinean trio sit firmly amongst progressive music's elite guard. Hernan Cattaneo needs little introduction and has become known to electronic music lovers simply as El Maestro. He is one of the world's most beloved DJs and his Sudbeat label is widely regarded as one of the best in its field. Soundexile are a Buenos Aires based production duo who have been crafting unique and inspiring electronic music since 2006. The pair are also accomplished DJs, having shared the booth with Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, James Zabiela, Dave Seaman and Henry Saiz. Now partnering up with Hernan once again, the trio make their Sound Avenue debut and provide a stunning take on ‘Utopia'. Electrically charged with thumping kicks and a tighter take on the groove, it's energetic prowess beams brightly. Binding rhythmic flow with dynamic tones and sweeping effects makes for a sleek yet commanding first act. Colourful overlays heighten the senses as pixie-like melodies fade in and out of coherence leading into the break. Grandiose and soothing in equal measure, tasteful modulation highlights the centrepiece, elevating mood before getting washed away as the groove rolls forward towards a stirring final movement.

Fresh from the success of SOULS Vol.1 in April, Damian Lazarus’ Rebellion gears up for the next edition of the series this October. Rebellion presents SOULS Vol.2 continues the spiritual theme, featuring appearances from label-regulars and debutantes alike in the form of Yulia Niko, Mommo G, Cristina Lazic, Paride Saraceni, Landikhan and MoM.

The VA’s first collaborative effort gets things underway, as Yulia Niko and Mommo G’s It’s All In My Mind manifests as a spacey dancefloor cut thanks to an infectious bassline and hypnotising vocals. Leap Year arrives next courtesy of Cristina Lazic, who delivers a stripped-back, minimal leaning number packed full of dubby undertones, before Paride Saraceni’s Without Your Love ups the pace with wholesome pads and punchy, groove-filled drum patterns. Power Of Life brings proceedings to a gentle close, with Landikhan and MoM’s collaboration taking the form of an emotive, slow building number that brims with ethereal lyrics. 

Russia’s Yulia Niko has become an internationally respected artist thanks to her residency at Watergate Berlin as well as several standout productions on Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical Music and her own TochnoTechno and Live Vibe imprints. Argentina’s Mommo G is a DJ, producer, writer, painter, singer and actor, based in Berlin. Italian-talent Cristina Lazic is a regular on the international DJ circuit, performing at venues such as Egg London, Opium Dublin and Armani Privé Milan. She is also a member of shesaid.so, the world’s community of women in the music industry. Fellow Italian Paride Saraceni has made a name for himself through releases on Tronic, Truesoul and Selador Recordings to name a few. Spanish mainstay Landikhan is a resident of WooMooN Ibiza, head of Thunder Nights Madrid and has appeared on labels including Natura Sonoris, Stil Vor Talent and many more besides. Esteemed Spaniard producer MoM has found a welcome home on Crosstown Rebels and UYSR in recent times, a testament to his skills as a producer. He is also one of the founders of HoMe Agency.

As a new artist to welcome to the Grey Bar Hotel roster, Michael A makes his debut on the Berlin based label with his track “Phase Colour". Regular appearances by Michael A on Proton Music, Genesis Music and Audio Drive, to name a few, have set his already substantial reputation in the progressive house sphere. 

Like one debut isn't already enough, we also welcome Supacooks to the Grey Bar Hotel family. The Armenian duo is known for their label Kitchen Recordings as well as their top-notch production sound, which we can also rediscover in their Remix of Phase Colour. 

Michael Ritter, label owner of Grey Bar Hotel alongside Felix E, delivers a darker sound, letting stabby synths take over the main melody. Former releases such as “Is it too late / Peak Machine” on Yomo Records have proven that his productions reach recognition even in the top artist sphere. 

Label Owner alongside his production partner Mike Koglin of Yomo Records, MoodFreak, returns to Grey Bar Hotel delivering a re-interpretation of Phase Colour like no other. The MF80s remix - the name already gives it away - takes you on a journey back in time, keeping the core elements of the original mix as a central part. A unique production that sets free nostalgic emotions of summer and provides a perfect closing sound for any set.

The goal of the Four Points series is to celebrate the international dance music scene, and this time is no different. With two acts from America and two from Germany, this new edition of the compilation bridges the Atlantic divide with four excellent new tracks and two Yoshitoshi debuts. Although clubs are closed, virtual parties and live streams have taken over the industry and new music is as important as ever, and we know these new tunes will find a happy home in your set, even if you're playing from home.

Los Angeles native Rinzen starts things off with exactly the type of intricate melodic techno the producer is known for; big, pounding drums and fluttering synth riffs that intertwine throughout the arrangement create an intense sonic journey. Next up we have Rachel Raw and BOHO, the dynamic duo from Cologne, who made their massive debut on Yoshitoshi a few months ago with the Happening EP. 'McQueen' is a dark and hypnotic roller that we could just love to hear in the club right about now. Berliner MUUI make his Yoshitoshi debut with 'Panoptic Phase,' showcasing his brand of cerebral house music with swirling, arpeggiated synths and spacious pads. This one is perfect for the late hours of the night. Finally, Bostonians Warung round things out with 'Memora,' an excellent addition to the package that shows why the young duo has already caught the ear of tastemakers like John Digweed and Waze & Odyssey. It's deep and melodic house at its finest.
