Hey friends, my name is Sam Coppenger and I am a singer/songwriter/musician living in Nashville, TN. 

When I was seven years old, I didn't want to take piano lessons. Somehow though, every Tuesday and Thursday after school, I found myself sitting on a piano bench next to my teacher, Mrs. Pierce. Spending time with the local Nazarene Church piano player wasn't my first choice in after school entertainment, so my mom reluctantly let me quit piano lessons after two years. 

I'm now 25 years old, and I still have a lot to learn about life and all its intricacies. I've had braces, break ups, love, self-doubt, and self-discovery. I've learned that people are more good than bad, and that life is a journey filled with ups and downs. I've also learned that those ups and downs often taste best when paired with music.

So thank you, Mrs. Pierce. You pushed me into the pool, and I've been swimming ever since.
