I've been getting more used to the feel of using trackers lately so I thought I'd give Renoise a go and create a simple, short remix to further refine my skills and get more used to the workflow.

I decided on this as a friend thought I couldn't make as good a remix as the one he listened to that someone else did so I kinda challenged him on that. Haha. :) All good fun.

Enjoy. There's a little skip somewhere in the early parts of the song. I was using REAPER to record the output of the stereo bus as the demo version of Renoise doesn't allow rendering. I will absolutely buy the software whenever possible though. Incredible tracker/DAW hybrid. Perfectly suits me!

I am Ethereal Psyche (known as Connor Hoban IRL). I started composing original music March 2014.
I am a composer, passionate musician and producer who loves music in many forms with it's beautiful diversity, limitless complexity and euphoric flow of emotions. Whether it is simple and bouncy like a rubber ball, or complex and layered like a macchiato, there is something to be appreciated in all forms of music. I adore exploring the vast depths of music and adding my own human touch.
I've been creating original electronic music since March 2014, with my first experiences dabbling in creating electronic music being around February 2014.

My own music has influences from artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Dada Life, INS4NE CHORD彡, deadmau5, Alex M.O.R.P.H, Ernesto, Bastian and Tavetti, to name a few.

My philosophy of music is based around blissful melodies, interesting (and usually uplifting) chord progressions often balancing majors and minors to define a mood, the little bits in the background that fill the space and interesting drum rhythms.

As a generalisation, I usually compose and produce Trance music, though I do explore quite a bit outside of it too. This genre of music is very much underrated in our modern age of music where commercialism has become a woeful storm.
I invite you to listen to some of my Trance music in particular, as you might find you enjoy this genre as well, which is heavily influenced by Classical music.
I would consider Uplifting Trance the dancable, electronic, modern counterpart of Classical music.
