         light to the eyes impart.

   9  Unspotted is the fear of God,

      The judgments of the Lord are true
         and righteous altogether.

  10  They more than gold, yea, much fine gold,
         to be desired are:
      Than honey, honey from the comb
         that droppeth, sweeter far.

  11  Moreover, they thy servant warn
         how he his life should frame:
      A great reward provided is
         for them that keep the same.

The 1650 Scottish Psalter provides a metrical translation of the 150 Psalms from the Book of Psalms in the Bible. Song of Joy provides recordings of these Psalms sung a capella by one vocalist in three or four part harmony.

The goal of this on-going psalmody project is to complete recordings of all 150 Psalms, to the end of aiding in edification, memorization of and meditation on the word of God, as believers are exhorted to do in Col. 3:16: 'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.' 

Since the days of King David, the Psalms have been sung by Old and New Testament believers in worship to God. Written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and sung by Jesus Christ in His time on earth, the Psalms express the entire range of human emotion and experience.
