Years & years people called my sound "Frickel". I always liked that. The word sounded dry, harsh, edgy... and so did my sound. Thru the years I did my share of more accessable "Deep House-Saxophon-Minimal-Polka", but always came back to "Frickel", when I was in need of a serious Techno banger. So here it is: "Sparta", the first release of my new label: "Frickel".

On the 30th of May 2022 Aio's new EP called "Cosmic Rage" will be released on the Cologne based label Jannowitz Records. The EP is a wild mix between Dark Disco and Melodic Techno and is topped off with a strong remix by the Brazilian producer K.A.L.I.L.. The track "Mystical Creatures" impresses with its energetic bassline, dark melodies and a great interlude. LOR brings together elements of techno, electronica and house to create his individual sound.

The Belfast producer announced his arrival late last year with remixes of classics by Arthur Russell and Kraftwerk, which were supported by the likes of Âme, Gerd Janson, Bicep, John Talabot and more.

As a DJ, LOR is rapidly on the rise, moving from Belfast Underground Radio, to various festivals this summer including AVA in Belfast, Celtronic in Derry and Tramlines in Sheffield.

On the production front, LOR’s first official remix, of Sau Poler’s ‘Esperits’ is due on leading Dutch label, Atomnation in September, of which we exclusively premiere.
