I’m happy to post this song with help from my first SC friend https://soundcloud.com/espere-verde, who encouraged me on to improve my music making from a very start. Good musician & draughtsman (he did this artwork too), his vocal performance here gave the mood I couldn’t to the song.

Technical highlights:
>Most vocals: Espere Verde
>Music & almost no vocals: Ruizzoidman
>Odd patterns hidden along three levels in this track: amalgamated psycho-hard coating, usual 7/2 in punk/ska intermediate parts, and finally the sweater core is structured in groups of five measures.

Lyrics: strangely, I wrote about these stressing things when I was 21 and supposedly happy; I'd say similarly today I'm twice as old...

I contacted Jack about creating lyrics for his fine track as I had some sweet ideas pop up on first listen. When stems arrived I had forgotten the clever topic and melody bouncing in my head.......

Anyway this is what came of a ham handed attenpt to redeem myself after Jack went to all the trouble to accomodate me.

This song is my take on Snoke. The original score is very minimal, a very deep monk choir, a simple yet really great line. When I dove into it, I totally heard is as a Deep House / Techno tune! Auralnauts & She's Excited! – Snoke (from "Star Wars: Dark Side EP")

This is a remix of 'No More Air', a song that really took me out of my comfort zone when I first created it as - very unusually for me - I sang on it. Yes, I know singing isn't my thing but for some reason I really felt that I needed to do so on this one, however badly.  The theme about an astronaut dying alone in space, knowing that he will never return home, really tugged at my heartstrings I think. 

This entire track came about after hearing the chords used by Dmitry Golubovsky on his track 'No Air’ and he was kind enough to let me use them here. I hope you like what I did with those chords...

There are so many great musicians on SoundCloud, I wish I could make music with everyone of you. I often reflect on all the great music you have all made, how we are constantly making new songs (because that is what artist do), and how many of our great creations can easily get forgotten. Most of our songs don’t get a chance to live like those songs that get repeated on the radio. And while many of us probably don’t like mainstream radio, many of us would probably like our best songs to have a bigger life, or at least shine a little brighter and be remembered a little longer. As a way to breathe additional air into one of our community members older music, I selected 5 tracks from Hot Os discography and remixed them to make “Twenty Twelve”

Humongous thanks to Hot Os for letting me select and edit 5 prime beats as well as raid his Instagram account for Zine images. Massive thanks to Janine Levinson and Jay Walker Black for dropping those hot guest vocals. And a giant thanks to Caedmon Rigby for all his time and creative energy mixing and mastering “Twenty Twelve” to make it sound so original, so professional, so fresh, and so clean!!! This is the second song that DeeP. and I began together. I really enjoy working on these darker tracks with DeeP. and exploring themes of depression, anxiety, fear, and shame. This song was inspired by a person that I was working with who would call me evil whenever he saw me. Even with me being as positive and non judgmental as possible, I am sure I was seen as another person telling him what to do and making decisions for him based on judgmental criteria. I think these are feelings many of us have had and it can be easy to relate to, though difficult to confront. 

I am grateful that we always have an opportunity to grow, learn, reflect, and evolve as individuals, communities, nations, and as a species. May we all be better to each other. 

Giant thanks to DeeP. for working with me on this track. And huge thanks to Nick for joining me on this first track together. I have long enjoyed and felt inspired by Nick’s creative and experimental guitar work and musicianship. I am super glad to have his vibe on this track!
