There's a neon sign blinkin
On the wrong side a town
It's an old lighthouse beacon
For lost soul's run aground
And they look at their live's
Like a vein that's been opened
And ya can't tell for sure
If their laughing or choakin

Some sit in silence
and stare off in space
And some holdin court
Tend to get in your face
But they all see themselves
Like a coin that's been tossed
And hope that their worth what they've lost

To back when it stopped
And we'll sing all our old favorite tunes
And resurrect kneel bow and gene-flecked

Now memories and shadows
grow long with the day

when night has it's way
