Conrad Subs delivers his second album 'The Horizon Leans Forward'

3 years in the making, Conrad takes the listener through his vision of what Drum & Bass music has been in the past, represents today and what it could be in the future. Drawing on influences and sounds from right across the genre and delving deep into it's history to create something rarely seen anymore - a true album. 

Conrad explains 'I wanted to recreate the feeling I had when I was a kid of listening to those classic Drum & Bass albums like 'Colours' by Adam F, 'Timeless' by Goldie, 'Mysteries of Funk' by Grooverider and 'New Forms' By Roni Size & Reprazent. Albums that took you on a journey and that weren't too concerned with radio play or any other outside noise. They just focused on the music. To do that I had to break out of the modern Drum & Bass formula a little, it's harder to express yourself with a 3 minute track at 178bpm. So I chose to just make music and see what happens'

The result is 13 tracks of pure, uncompromising Drum & Bass music, cinematic in scope and underground to it's very core. 'The Horizon Leans Forward' offering you space to place new steps of change.

S Man Smith returns to Jungle Revolution with another example of his ability to effortlessly and meticulously combine musical elements!
The star of the show in this case is the breaks-an amalgamation of classic Jungle sounds that make you feel like you are lost deep in a tropical Jungle. They combine perfectly with industrial-sounding hardcore breaks-esque stabs, dub sirens, and birdy synths, alongside menacing 808 basses that punch rhythmically through the mix.

Coming to the end of a huge year for Harley D with a slew of releases across the Drum and Bass spectrum with appearances on labels like High Tea, Invicta Audio, Low Down Deep and CruCast, he makes his Subdue Audio debut for their inaugural release marking SDA001 with some serious style this Halloween.

Subdue Audio is a brand new label, aiming to support and bring light to some of the freshest talent across the Drum and Bass and Bass Music worlds. Frighteners is a collection of ominous intros, eerily sharp sound design and heavy subs as Harley delves into a more minimal leaning, darker sound. Whether its the wobbly, floor shaking sub of the title track, ‘Frighteners’, the tight drums and haunting vocal samples dotted through ‘Critique VIP’ or the nod to his iconic Jump Up sounds in the screaming stabs of “Creeper”, this whole EP is sure to turn the heads of the club crowd and introduce them to what Subdue Audio has to offer.
