Premiere: Dave Seaman - Two By Two (Audio Junkies Remix) [Selador]

Felix E and Michael Ritter combine their skills on a standout new EP for INDISKRET BERLIN Records with remixes from Pajuh, Esin and Biesmans.

Ritter is a key player in Germany’s melodic techno scene who combines intricate rhythms with emotive melodies for a sound that’s both deep and dancefloor-ready, and Felix E drops high-energy and sleek productions blending groove, grit and forward-thinking sounds.

Tension is a perfect mood builder with atmospheric pads and wavy beats sweeping you up and encouraging you to get lost in the cosmic melodies. Release is a dubby cut with a moody lead synth that keeps you locked in for the ride as the bass wanders on. Revolte then shuts down with more driving drums and nimbler energy as more widescreen pads bring the soul up top.

First to remix is Pajuh who flips Tension into a deep cut with fizzing, pixelated chords spraying across the mix to dramatic effect. Esin then keeps things lush and dreamy with a zoned out and deep roller of a remix of Release, and then Revolte gets an upbeat and pumping house rework from Biesmans who brings bright pads and thumping kicks.

These are three sophisticated new sounds from Felix E & Michael Ritter.

Somewhere back in the mists of time, most likely involving the odd papal decree, some dodgy calculations about how long it takes the earth to do a trip round the sun, and a nerdy historian or two wanting to find a way to compartmentalise the eras they were documenting, the concept of decades and centuries entered the public consciousness.

What with folk across the ages always looking for an excuse to party, they became something to celebrate, both the longevity of the milestone attained, and the excitement about what was to follow.

In the notoriously fast-moving world of music, such longevity can be hard to find, especially in an era of short attention spans and soundbite culture. It thus only seems right and proper to hail Dave Seaman, Steve Parry and their Selador imprint for reaching its 200th release (the 200 actually encapsulates a whopping 796 tunes and mixes in total, fact fans).

To put that into some sort of context, that’s way more music than the two previous era-defining labels Dave was involved with, Stress in the 90s and Audio Therapy in the 00s, combined. The 12 years Steve has spent co-helming Selador eclipses the time he spent front and centre at the legendarily influential 3 Beat store. All this at a time when the music marketplace has never been more saturated or harder to navigate in the quest to gain visibility for music you believe in.

Steve and Dave don’t need to do this. Both well into their fourth decade in the acid house trenches, each possesses an impressive CV, and is not short of work. But nothing drives these two electronic music titans more than the search for new music, the buzz of hearing something special for the first time, and the hunger to help bring it into the world, nurture its development, and share it with as many like-minded souls as possible.
Selador has proved to be a significant player in terms of sourcing and developing new talent in the arena they dub “house, techno and all flavours in between”, as is shown across those 200 releases. It has also proved to be a trusty vehicle for Steve and Dave to release many of their own productions, the benchmark set by their peers on the label roster driving the duo to ever greater heights.

It is thus fitting that the 200th Release Project features 12 brand new and exclusive remixes courtesy of friends old and new, all of whom have reworked some of the bosses’ classic productions.

Spread across three thrilling 4 track EPs released throughout August 2025, this celebratory collection brings together an array of talent from around the world covering a multitude of genres within the Electronic Club Music realm.

In short, it’s what Selador has been doing from releases 1 to 199, with added birthday vim and vigour. Savour and enjoy.

Paul Rose, aka Scuba, has defined and refined the sound of the underground across the last two-plus decades. The Berlin-based Brit was at the heart of the first wave of bass, then evolved into gritty techno and more melodic house over the next decade before serving up a thrilling mix of hardcore and breakbeat with his duo of 'Digital Underground' mixtapes in 2023 and 2024. His Music Not Diving podcast has become an influential voice in the scene with unique stories from some of its main architects. Back in 2011, Sasha supported an early Scuba EP, which encouraged him to explore more house and techno. Following his 'Animatronic' EP here in May, he is now back with another brilliant pair of tracks.

The wonderfully moody 'Archives' opens up with slow-burning menace from the dubby mid-tempo drums and sparse synth notes. Occasional melodic flourishes cascade down the groove before a breakdown resets, and percussion then joins the bouncy kicks and taught chord loops. It's a track to build tension, lock in the floor, and lead them somewhere new.

'Meteors' is more raw and direct, with another buoyant mix of drums and cavernous bass wired up with subtly rousing synths and twinkling keys that bring cosmic energy. The suspenseful, progressive groove is designed for full immersion and is a masterclass in maintaining careful dance floor tension.

Guy Mantzur unites all genres from tech to house, progressive to techno, with a uniquely melodic and storytelling sensibility. He's co-owner and A&R for Munich-based label Plattenbank and has long been in demand as a remixer and producer for top labels like Bedrock Records and Moments. Chicola is equally accomplished and influential as a long-time vinyl obsessive, globe-trotting DJ, and producer of sophisticated sounds that draw on his pianist background and oﬀer rich musical harmony.

The pair open with the meticulously crafted ‘Neon Bible,’ a poised, ever-shifting cut built on subtle chord progressions and dubbed-out drums sprinkled with delicate percussive touches. Suspensory and hypnotic, it radiates a cosmic beauty that gently uplifts while drawing you deeper under its spell.

'Galactica’ takes a more extroverted turn, its shimmering melodies and intricate synth sequences weaving a lush and luminous tapestry. The drums stay weighty and elastic to ground the track while the atmosphere brims with hope and a refined sense of celestial escape.

'Neon Bible' is also reworked with an Extended Ambient Mix that lays bare the scintillating synth modulations, ever-shifting chords, and creative melodies that float you up amongst the stars.
