It’s all about the music and always has been. It’s always been there – from crafting homemade DJ mix tapes as a child and playing any instrument within reach, to studying Creative Music Production and Lecturing in Music Technology, Claire Spooner aka Just Her, has grown and evolved to become a major force in Electronic
Music. A heavily in-demand DJ, producer and musician, her stellar songwriting and engineering work with Him_Self_Her propelled her into the upper reaches of the underground music scene, landing releases with world class labels such as Toolroom & Crosstown Rebels, a wealth of Beatport chart positions, an Essential New Tune on Radio 1 and gigs all over the world.
Under her solo moniker, ‘Just Her’, Claire has marked the start of another chapter in her journey, with her debut ‘Flatline’ EP on Suara making waves across the scene, gaining plays from a wealth industry greats, from Maya Jane Coles at DC10 Ibiza, to Agoria at Treehouse in Miami. This was followed with a string of hits including ‘In Circles’ on Stil Vor Talent, her remix of Allies For Everyone on Blindfold recordings that reached the Number 1 Spot on Trackitdown, and most recently the stunning ‘Let Myself Go’ with Kieran Fowkes that reached Number 4 in the Beatport Electronica charts and achieved Radio 1 airplay. In her first year as a solo artist, Just Her toured the globe, with gigs in South Africa, Dubai, Greece, Berlin, Russia, Ukraine and Space Ibiza, as well as securing a bi-monthly residency for the esteemed Sabajaq at Egg in London. Her own imprint Constant Circles is also gaining huge momentum, along with her radio shows on Proton and Frisky, which serve as an outlet for her unique brand of deep melodic emotion-filled grooves from House and Electronica through to Techno. Add to this a growing reputation for technical prowess on the decks, and it is clear why Just Her is fast developing a loyal following from around the globe.
