A-laise is a Tuckey production solo project. “A-laise” is derived from the French word “alaise,” signifying comfort. A-laise, an accomplished artist and musician, delivers original tracks with a smooth, mellow, and upbeat sound. These tunes are designed to soothe and relax, providing a pleasant backdrop or more, tailored to your personal preferences.

A little about me…
Born in 1989 in Portsmouth, I found drum and bass in the late 90’s and picked up my first budget vinyl decks (numark) in the early 2000’s. Unlike most, I wasn’t driven by the dream of playing live in front of thousands of people. Part of that comes down to my weakness for chasing perfection. For me, mixing was a private hobby that I was very passionate about and Drum and Bass spoke to me like no other music. I mixed privately or for friends for many years under another DJ name, and around 2007 I began to follow the trend of transitioning into digital.

Once I moved over to digital (virtual dj at the time) I wanted to start pushing myself onto 3 & 4 deck mixes. Unfortunately finances were still an issue so I had to make the best of what I had. I set up 4 computers (1 computer for each deck due to low grade hardware), 2 mixers linked together and 2 sets of headphones. I reprogrammed keyboards to act as the pitch and bends on each computer. I mixed like this for quite a few years until around 2014, juggling headphones and mixers to create 4 deck mixes. It was overly complicated but it did however fast track my skills in multitasking. Unfortunately around 2014 life took over, work, kids etc and I stepped away from my beloved hobby (although I never stopped listening to drum and bass religiously)

Around 10 years passed before I decided to come back to it. Still on a budget, I picked up the Traktor Kontrol S4 and a copy of Traktor, and that’s where I am today.

Now under a new DJ name with all new social accounts, I’m started from the ground up but with a lot of experience behind me. The name Renaissance is a French name for rebirth, and as my surname is technically French it felt fitting for my new venture.

In terms of my mixing style, I’m known for mixing a huge variety of dnb in my mixes. I don’t like to be confined to sub genres or time periods, so I will find a way to cover the whole of drum and bass in my mixes.

Bio: "I, am CommonSen5e"

At the age of 16 [2012] years old Mason Metcalf AKA CommonSen5e or CS5 for short, took the reins of what would become not just a dream but a reality. [Quite quickly] As soon as the name chose him, his life would never be the same. With six studio albums, multiple singles, and a full length Co-op Album with the great Mario Grönnert, Mason is never at a end of creating. With now the seventh studio album launching in 2024/2025, CS5 stands with some of the greats to achieve such a goal in the music scene. With being underground and connected to all platforms, CS5's music is matched up to those of the likes of Skrillex, Calvin Harris, and Demi Lovato and moving quickly in all directions. A hit in the UK, Germany, and surprisingly the US, shows with the electronic group Modestep in 2019, only time will tell what brings young CS5. Even though CommonSen5e's music is nowhere near mainstream material, the mainstream has no choice but to listen to the birds that sit upon this stream.
