The US label launched onto the circuit late last year with a delightful collab EP from Marc Brauner & David Silver. Moods delve into joyful house territories and slick breakbeats laced with blissful acid lines prime for the dance floor. Percussion and energies nod to the 90s with classy 909 drums caressing lush ravey vocals and uplifting chord sequences. The veteran London and Ibiza DJ splits the difference between rave nostalgia and dance music futurism on the new ‘Space Cake’ EP.

Starting off with the propulsive title track, Frankel takes us beyond the atmosphere with tasty breakbeats and a dynamic bassline. Throughout all four original tunes, deep grooves and airy samples layered within undulating synths continue the space odyssey.

The next Trafico Music EP comes from Concret & TYU with Corrado, Luzius, Bourisade and Bellville on the remixes. The standout tracks come as a limited edition, 250 run vinyl pressing with a digital release a month later.

Concret is Italo-Mexican musician and DJ Diego Angelico Escobar and sound-designer, keyboardist and producer Q-pha from Italy. Next to guesting on Red Light Radio and Rinse FM, Diego has played all over Europe and released on Her Majesty’s Ship and Akbal Music. They have an involving, mid-tempo techno sound that is always artful. Here they link with Tyu, a Mexican producer who releases on DURO and Calypso Records as well as Trafico.

Concret & TYU then serve up the superb ‘Black, Blue, Yellow, Green’, a raw bit of deep but metallic house, with dark vocals and end-of-the-world chords that bring to mind a real sense of cinematic finality. This is brilliantly futuristic music that brings new emotion and drama to the dance floor.

PREMIERE: Concret & TYU - Black, Blue, Yellow, Green (Original Mix) [Trafico Music]

Planet opens up with screeching atmospherics, chuggy percussion and a brooding bassline that works it’s way towards a breathless synth line perfectly suited for pre-dawn hours.
 Dean Grenier’s classy stripped back and sped up flip of the title track retains a crisp four-on-the-floor rhythm tailor made for the Berlin clubs he calls home.
 On the B side 'Snowfall’ carries on where the A side left off. Electro synths and muffled breaks portray the sounds of a UFO control deck transporting the listener to an other worldly utopia.
 The closing track ‘Alps’ is a stunning downtempo club tool that ends up forming the emotional centrepiece of the EP.
