Definitely my housiest mix ever.  And it's definitely a bouncy fun feel good mix.  This mix was featured on a radio show with Dani Lehman.  Forgot what it was called though...


Feel good mix 2010 Connie mix

This is my favorite mix to date.  Although it's "minimal" music, when you listen to it, there's actually ALOT of shit going on...  When I listen to it, I feel like its a symphony of animals: I hear birds, crickets, frogs, rhinos, elephants.  It's pretty crazy... makes me horny!  This mix was also used as an "Airpod", promotional mixes for Airdrop record label artists.  Enjoy!


Horny Music 2009 Connie Mix

When I completed my first vinyl EP called Sunset Tribe on Airdrop Records, I made a mix to promote it.  I called it Sunset Tribe, and it's a mix that I feel is best listened to outdoors.  For best results, you should begin the mix an hour before the sun actually sets. :)  I think the tribally feel and epic melodies are perfect for this very occasion.

Resolute Opening Set on 08 04 18 Part 1

On September 21, 2019, I had the pleasure of playing at Sun and Stone (rave in the cave!).   The cave I played in and the people I played for were magical, and I will never forget it!  As the sunlight seeping into the cave turned into moonlight, I played after Reid Speed, nervous to follow her 160 BPM drum and bass.  Here is my set, with love.  Thank you Bill Kraemer for this beautiful experience and thank you Josh Wilkins for capturing this memory.  Big shout out to Teodora, Nora, and Gregory for coming with me.  WOOF!

Connie discovered at a young age that there is nothing more magical than music.  Brought up by an opera singer father and school teacher mother, her childhood was spent dedicated to study, not being allowed to leave the house besides to go to school.  Connie found music as an escape from this mundane home life and a refuge from the crazy streets of New York City in the 70s and 80s.  Oftentimes, she would listen to the radio in her bedroom closet late into the night, dreaming of a glamor-filled lifestyle of going on tour with her favorite musicians, the likes of Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, and New Order.
 
After life as a punk rock drummer, Connie’s journey into becoming a DJ stemmed from her love to club dance.  Flash forward 2001 on a trip to Ibiza (incidentally, this trip happened in the midst of the 9/11 tragedy!), Connie was blown away by the power of music bringing dancers together.    Since then, Connie has chosen to dedicate her life to just this…. a music purveyor to the masses, uniting people worldwide through music and dance.  This is her biggest pleasure!  And her DJ career began.
 
For the next decade or so, Connie has been a major contributor to NYC’s underground electronic scene.  Co-founding NYC’s top brand RESOLUTE and being the original resident for nearly 15 years; mentoring and sharing the art of DJing to dozens of students; producing electronic music under the “Constar” moniker as well as Connie Yin, with releases available digitally and on vinyl, under labels such as Bedrock Records; and being heavily involved in NYC’s live music scene as a drummer, bass player, songwriter and producer in various projects, has given Connie’s career longevity and she is always evolving.  Touring the world from Brazil to Dubai confirms her love for the worldwide techno family, and she is grateful to know that this is the community where she belongs.
 
Connie’s music taste is a culmination of all her life experiences, all of them special in it’s own right.  Like her hometown of NYC – smooth, real, unpretentious, intelligent, tough, with lots of attitude- she is drawn to music that reflects these qualities.  She sees beauty in dissonance and the unconventional .  Above all else, she loves music that makes you dance - that brings real raw emotion and expression, that touches deep into one’s soul and moves you .  With a playful and deep fluid mix of forward thinking 4/4 styles and a defined rhythmic sensibility that flows from her alter egos as a rock drummer and bass player, Connie is a steady crowd favorite and an accomplished pro who always brings the goods.  Join her as she continues to share the soundtrack of her life through the universal language of mankind.
