For the 7th edition of XPLORE, Andrømeda travels further afield, inviting a special guest all the way from Buenos Aires. 

Dokser is a highly respected DJ and producer hailing from Argentina. Passionate about production, he is in a constant search for ways of creating new sounds, releasing on labels like Be As One Imprint , Uncage, Intacto Records and Trax Records in Chicago. Since moving to Barcelona 20 years ago, he has created his own unique style which cannot be placed into a specific category. Not afraid of experimenting and breaking boundaries, he takes audiences on a journey to unthinkable places with his mixes, productions and live acts.🪐

The show features a 30 minute warm up set by Andrømeda followed by a one hour exclusive mix by Dokser on Threads Radio.

Kuba, for that is his real name, became known on the Polish club scene as a man of good taste and great passion for technical music, functioning as a promoter and booker of the cult Wroclaw venue Transformator. For the past few years, he has also successfully realized himself as a DJ. As part of the podcast for our series, he presented a recording that is clearly characterized by its functional-dance nature. There are a lot of hypnotic, psychedelic motifs here, but the whole carries an uplifting atmosphere of the following tracks following the direction of ecstatic dance. The Miami-based label Alchemista is an underground label to keep a close eye on. Their sci-fi and spaced-out soundscapes have welcomed artists such as Oscar Mulero, Ness, Wrong Assessment and Joaquin Ruiz.

The newest release marks the twelfth digital package and is an original track by the label owners Feph & Mr. Tron as well as including two remixes from Italian Feral and Spain’s Eduardo De La Calle.

Eduardo De La Calle is a veteran of the scene running Analog Solutions label since 2011, while having also appeared on Sven Väth’s Cocoon, Carl Craig’s Planet E, Boddika’s Nonplus, Svreca’s Semantica and has collaborated with the likes of USA-based artist Developer.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his remix of “Crankshaft” that has twisted, analogue style. Stripped back and with an essence of a spaceship’s interplanetary quest, the wobbling phasers and dreamy modular tones create a lush aesthetic of sound design yet it remains fully club floor ready.
