Teaming up once again with Walter Ego, producer behind cuts such as "Brap" and "Feds", "My Don" is essentially the emcee's guide to what it takes to be a real don—simple things, like going shops for your mum. "This track is about a young king from the ends who has nothing to prove and does what he wants," explains Slick Don over email. "It's about my day to day life, and, because it's always been a thing that rappers wear jewellery, I'm making a statement that I don't need or want to wear all that to be a don. I don't have anything to prove; I just want to spit bars and do me."
