Gita

New Harlem rapper with a touch of the Nick Minaj in her twang but this isn't full-force electro bangers but classic old skool hip-hop, with great head-nod beats from producers like DJ Two Stacks.

Redinho

A stalwart on the same label that has launched Hudson Mohawke and Rustie - is Redinho the next big star? This is an huge digital boogie cut.

Randomer

London-based producer signed to Tiga's label who has made one of the biggest jams of the summer with 'Ruffa'.

Context

The new Streets? There have been a few contenders to be the next poet laureate of the estates, but Context has a swell of support and some classic pirate material.

Oliver Wilde

Describes himself as alternative dad-rock fizz, but we'll just go for beautiful, haunting shoe gaze folk, with hints of Elliot Smith, Cornelius and Real Estate.

Royal Canoe

Out on tour with Alt-J, Royal Canoe don't sound too original on first listen but give it some time and you'll find the intricate but anthemic songs that made their tour mates such hits last year.

Champs 

Fans of Midlake will love The Champs, who craft glorious melancholy driving music. Beautiful stuff.

Mausi

Unashamed sunshine pop with hints of Alphabeat and Kylie in here. Lots of hype and recent Radio 1 session under their belt - looks a likely big winter push.

Polarsets

Newcastle band going for the Two Door Cinema Club indie-disco sound and gaining a fair whack of attention at the moment.

Vulkano

This week's Swedish stars shy away from the familiar maxed out Scandi pop attack and go for a slick, poppy post-punk sound - a hint of B-52s and Siouxsie Soux with a lighter synth edge.
