Since 2009 Rearview Radio has been stuck in the midst of what's going off in Dusseldorf with his @themes-for-great-cities. A label that has consistently showcased the vibrant sound of its hometown like no other. Alongside side the label, he’s a highly talented DJ holding a long-term residency at Salon Des Amateurs.  

For the podcast, Rearview Radio conducted on a voyage through his night-time collection with a big mix up of Beleric Disco, club-ready Italo and early Pet Shop Boys.

We're joined this time by Canada's queen of 80's oddities, Milch. Team member at Toronto's Infamous, Invisible City Records. Milch is a multidisciplinary artist, keeping busy as a DJ\Collector, Graphic Designer and Programmer.

For the podcast, Milch has rustled up a 70-minute masterclass of vintage dance oddities and nostalgic Dad Rock, touching on everything from sleazy New Beat to the Gorillaz and 'Scottish Gamble Pop'.

My friend Gabriel interviewed the half god Rother for Tidal. https://bit.ly/2DpIsLp And it made me think of this mix i recorded in another life... Copied from the growing bin blog Sunday, June 15, 2008: "The two of my turntables didn't spin at the same time for ages ... ... After finding some lovely LPs on the fleamarket yesterday morning something bit me and I blew of the dust of the left MarkII. In the beginning it wasn't working too well, but after a few more minutes I was in it and it was fun. It's LIKE CYCLING - once you got it ......... so here's something like a Megamix of my favourite Michael Rother jams." 
WELL... the sound quality is not really up to todays standards (where crackle meets encoding fractals...) nor the mixing technique (screw the pin until it's glowing). It was something that I just did - without thinking much. Rather with drinking much. ENJOY anyway!

Basso - Michael Rother MegaMix (2008)

Baltic Power for the new UV Funk show. Being one of the most dedicated music lovers in Dresden @lksczk from the @zeptermusik Crew delights us with an acoustic tour through Latvia. Be prepared for new favorites like NSRD, an avantgarde New Wave outfit that was formed in 1982. The group’s activities included not only music but also performances video installations, photography and video art. Or the fellow band Gadi Pirms Sākuma, that created a very unique version of Coldwave and Neue Musik. Both Bands were part of Riga’s DIY scene of the 1980s and 1990s, often borrowing gear from colleagues for their recordings. There’s a lot to discover here.
