Often a very overcrowded sub-genre of techno, it's often hard to separate the good from the bad in EBM, Industrial, Wave, Synthwave, or whatever you want to call it. Much like techno, some producers can’t escape the past, but now and then it does produce some gnarly refreshers like this ‘Several Future’ track from @Asymmetrical on @Raw-Culture-Recordings.

@nostalgie-eternelle might sound like a new name on our shameless label but in fact they are 2/3 of Sauerstofff and with Face á l'incertitude EP they keep us in balance between the 1987’s atmosphere of Leer and those of the city of Hamburg in 2019 where Inox Kapell and Dieter Mauson have recorded part of the record.
A style lesson that we welcome with great pleasure by two artists with 35 years of friendship and militancy in the post-punk scene in Europe.

An EP that ranges between the dementia no wave of “Human Biodiversity”, the synthetic minimalism of “Die ganze Wut”, the atmospheric romance of “Under Water Dream”; between the dub sonorities of “Raumseelen” and the new wavish of “Wo es weiter geht” and “Thank You!”

The release will be available in the usual 300 limited vinyl units from July 5.

After 3 blasting releases and a stabbing album under the Techno Thriller sticker, Hoel Moce flies by himself over the valley of the Endless Week-end-ers.
Here is his solo project, recorded at home during autumn in french Britany, the project is named after the Land of the Damned according to the vernacular local legends : the Yeun Elez.

Mixed by Luc Bersier (Reymour - Knekelhuis) and mastered by the almighty Seb Normal, the artworks are made of 6 woodcuts realized by Hoel himself while recording. This debut album is a manifesto for the artist. Hoel invites through these 10 Dark-Folkish tracks, Current93, Coil or Throbbing Gristle, “Les Maitres Fous” from the ethnographic director Jean Rouch in the middle of the “Hard To Be A God” from the russian medievist : Alexeï Guerman.

Illustrated by his talented woodcutting skills during the recording sessions and inked then manually, it's a 2x5 pages booklet which envelops 100 Chrome tapes available to preorder.

For some people, it takes their whole lives searching for something. Whether far or close, it often comes unexpected, but these events do happen for a reason and usually have a pursue. Some people search for meaning whilst others for their significant other. Paths can suddenly become clear and true. For a band like Nordland, they found themselves in the streets of an eighties Zurich protest. Even if given immortality to think about places where you could find your purpose, the time would be wasted if you were to have guessed that romance and riots would ever go together. Amid the chaos of that day, when all you could hear was the shouts of protestors, the smell of the violence in the air, anger in the eyes and hope spread on lips, one can look back forty years later, where the events that followed all now seem like a distant dream, but that remained reality into changing the lives of this pair forever.

The genesis of Nordland partly came from this scenario. Mario Scherrer and Priska Weber found something in each other that led them being together to this day. Spanning a career of over 10 years, this album features Nordland's early works that were composed a couple of years before and prior of Squares and Crossings (DDP004). An intriguing approach to New Wave music, incorporating elements of pop and new age whilst not sacrificing the duo's musical influences, the music of Nordland is at the time melancholic and fresh, which they like to compare to the bleakness and vastness of fairy tale like forests. Despite having a few lineup changes, Nordland's breakthrough gig was as a pair, opening for the Irratics and The Young Gods in Fri-Son (Fribourg, CH) on the 9th of May, 1987.

Sourced from the original tapes provided by the SRF3 (then called DRS3); the national Radio for the German and Romansh territories of Switzerland. This never before released live set has been enhanced and remastered by yours truly in lip biting stereo and will not only include their breakthrough gig from Fri-Son but also the reissue of their debut self-titled EP.

A kick drum introduces The Black Wig Throw Off. Putting the foot to the pedal? French duo Haydee (Simple Music Experience). “No Gouvernance” revs and rumbles like a cantankerous, clapped out engine. Rust breaks clean in huge chunks as screams and shouts punch through the thick drum fumes. Industrial legends Hunting Lodge follow in a similarly smog spitting motor, the drunken mechanical tirade that is “De Omnibus Dubitandum.” Bass and beats crack and leak in this proto-acid scarred work from 1983, hiss spilling over into juddering chords. Newcomer Catriel drowns “nbdymksmefeellowlikeudo” in a sludge of static, indecipherable words gurgle as percussion attempts to save this doomed victim. Pain streaks the 12”, agony streaming from sweat soaked grooves. Fresh from their recent killer EP on Timedance, UK techno/noise duo Giant Swan take a piece of pipe to “Dare”, pounding it with heavy blows, forcing confessions through verbal assault before leaving it more bloody pulp than track. If you’re hoping for some refuge you’d better think again. Mysterious Columbian tehcno producer Gotshell (Blueprint/Nachtstromschallplatten) closes with a double brewed remix of “De Omnibus Dubitandum.” Distortion is sheered away, leaving those throbbing notes to bubble in a tank of hi-hats and snare rolls. A 12” that’ll leave speakers blown and listeners in need of a tetanus shot.
