I just wondered, why does no one but Shania Twain sing about the moment you "make it"? The moment when you get the good news, the moment you hoped and waited for; when a weight is lifted off your shoulders. That just happened to me a few days ago and I wanted to write about it, about savoring and enjoying this moment without thinking too much of the future or how long will this moment last. The entire production is built around the idea of reversing time—multiple guitar riffs are played backwards, the main vocal hook is chopped and glitched like a broken memory, and old-fashioned tape rewinding reels kick in at various points. The verses are quiet and full of tension, but the chorus explodes into this huge, emotional drop because that feeling of desperation is massive.
