Tammo Hesselink inaugurates his newly launched imprint Rear View Memory, intended for occasional outings of personal works. On this first release called ‘Borrowed Wheels’ the Dutch producer combines his rhythmic side with his modern hypnotic techno approach. Tammo has developed an outstanding body of work under a range of alias’ since the mid-2010’s, first releasing via his own imprint “The Invariants” before seeing his music published on famed Dutch platforms Delsin Records and Nous Klaer Audio in more recent years.

For this Premiere, we hop on the B side of the record for a halftime drum & bass workout in collaboration with Romanian producer DYL. DYL is a Romania based experimental producer on his real name “Eduard Costea” with releases on such labels as Alphacut, One Seventy, RE:ST, Nord Label and many more. Both the artists developed a distinctive style with a genre-bending approach. ‘Prelude’ manages to draw a fine line in between UK techno, bass and post-dubstep.

Grid turns one ! To celebrate our first anniversary, we are happy to release our second compilation with twelve amazing artists from around the world (USA, Japan, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland and England, of course).

Still focused on eclectism, each track is part of a colorful selection ready for a party summer. From experimental opening by K Wata, through bass bangers from Sputnik One, Mafou and Yilan, deep objects by Kincaid, Mistareez and Tristan Arp, engineering techno from Erik Luebs, Christian Kroupa and Fingers of God, to crazy shifted tracks by Nico and Henzo.

As its musical title evocates, after a heavy loaded first year, we are starting a new loop coming back with a compilation, to go further next.

Is it a dream, a Jungian fantasy, a deep dive into the repressed psyche? Is it a malfunction? Or is it the one place where you can escape from the repetitive drone of the hive mind?

"Interlink: A" is the debut release from Unimatrix Zero, a collection of tracks for on and off the dancefloor from our friends across the North American dance music community.

Detroit-via-Ithaca's Otodojo provides a buoyant, aquatic and soothing entry point, remixing and completing track sketch "Unimatrix" from label co-founder Lychee. Portland's Braun picks up the energy with bright, skittering dub techno in "Slipstream," a track as ready for peak time as it is for a dreamy sunrise. Recent NYC transplant Sister Zo, with roots in Kansas City and Columbus, Ohio, brings the low-swung, percussive wiggle in "Mess Around," a slickly lubricated mechanical trip. NYC's Blacklauren, half of the Long Count Cycle, delivers a euphoric wormhole in "Teocalli," defly tempering tension and comfort. NYC favorite Kenya Kanazawa, with roots in Yamagata and Tokyo, evokes a dewy forest at dawn in delicate dubby reverie "Fog in the Floor." Label co-founder Guilt Attendant's contemplative closer, "Their Soul Thirsts in the Desert", is a track for yearning; what is the thing you are pining for that you aren't even sure you can recall?

After several years writing and performing as one half of duo @astryd_music, Jo’s new project sees them turn towards more personal, intimate and conceptual explorations. The result is a trio of bold, technoid soundscapes - with an emphasis on intricate, detailed sound design. A high-octane and visceral performer, Memory Play’s live sets push their machines and audience to breaking point.

Visible Spectrum is the newly launched creative playground of Yuri Boselie, also known as Cinnaman. Since donning the Cinnaman alias nearly two decades ago, he’s become a well known figure of the Amsterdam nightlife scene with long running residencies at the city's most lauded clubbing institutions like Club 11, Trouw and most recently De School. Next to his DJ sets, he's made early moves in label curation with A&R work for Rush Hour and Kindred Spirits offshoot Nod Navigators, and with his own Beat Dimensions compilations in the late 00s. With Visible Spectrum — defined as the electromagnetic frequencies visible by the human eye — a new chapter is born. It is an outlet for electronic music in the widest sense. Each sleeve will have its own unique screen printed artwork by Marilyn Sonneveld.

The first EP comes from Mor Elian, the Berlin based artist and owner of the Fever AM label. Here she offers the loose and hypnotic rhythms of 'Clairvoyant Frog' which is deep and atmospheric, like some sort of primordial techno soup. 'Shoshana's Roses' then picks up the pace with layers of rumbling drums, wooden hits and snaking synths taking you into a steamy, humid jungle before closer 'Planet Kismet' is a much quicker and more urgent bit of enchanting break-beat techno with pummeling minimal drums and warped synths and perc getting you under their sci-fi spell. A fascinating first outing that sets a high standard from the off.
