Jorge Martins based in London is 24 year-old and young producer from Portugal. Lisbon city is where he acquired his sound passion and of course part of his education. Known for his own style but influenced by aspects of Techno, Progressive and Minimal his productions are full of atmosphere and harmonies accompanied by minimal drums inspired on his landscapes background where he spent most of his youth not forgetting also from his underground vein derived from the environment where he first made contact with electronic music.

Canadian label My Favorite Robot Records looks across the pond to Italy for one of its early 2016 EPs.
The act behind the three excellent track release is Speaking Minds, a duo that released on the label back in 2014 and have also put out music on Aeon Records. Simone Sinatti and Marco Paladin have very quickly won fans and acclaim around the world with their inspired and passionate DJ sets and artful take on club music. Here they prove that once more with richly crafted synths and expansive grooves aplenty.
The perfectly seductive 'Marathon' opens up the EP with the sort of moods and groove that would be perfect for a long late night drive. Neon synth lines snake along above a rooted rubber groove and grow more wild as thing unfold. It is the sort of hypnotic offering that really takes command of a dancefloor and never lets up.
A dub mix of the same cut is even more driven, some of the synth drones are stripped back and it is a more cerebral, spaced out techno roller as a result.
The third offering, 'The Last Step,' is another deep space affair with gorgeously designed pads circling round a spacious groove. It is a vast and atmospheric track that really transports you to another galaxy far, far way with its rainy melodies, moody drum kicks and arcing sense of narrative.
This is spine tingling, sensitive music that is epic and emotive in all the right ways.

Named after an exotic South American bird, Nandoo kicks off with a subtle bassline and gradually blossoms into a string-heavy breezy cut, as playful as it is dynamic.

Label chief Oliver Koletzki amps up the exotic appeal, adding tribal vocals and eccentric yet organic-sounding elements, leading up to a tension-filled, dance-frenzy inducing break.
With its slightly more sober musical range, Theben acts as a grounding agent, offering the perfect foundation for exploring. Piano loops, synth leads and oriental vocal elongations all make an appearance and amalgamate in an eclectic and lively piece.
