SEMEP006 - Amplituda - Searching EP (COMING OUT 23/02/24)

As 2024 develops, we’ve prepared some goods to deliver
alongside the year. After a short hiatus and some restructuring we’re
looking for a busy year, for both Conveyor Audio and Skalator Music
labels.
Gonçalo Incendiário is an active part of both label’s structure for
a long time, with particular focus on Conveyor Audio’s path and ethos,
as well as it’s visual outcome. He doesn’t consider himself a musician
or even a producer, as he comes from a background on Visual Arts,
but in it’s own words, he likes to explore and research through
ambiences, atmospheres and sound design, playing, somehow
naively, with musical elements.
Incendiário has already a couple of music released out there,
such as our VA “Rizoma Vol.1”, on Skalator Music, Eyesome and
Yanked Beats, and this release opens the door for further approaches
he might bring to the scene.

As for Patrícia Ricardo, she’s a multidisciplinary Visual Artist as
well, who works mostly with photography, but not only, and who also
plays with words, poetry and challenges basic concepts & perceptions,
using her own existentialism as a tool to find herself, her place, her
sense and her meaning is this world.
Elementos, (portuguese word for “elements”) is a work that
comes from the early pandemic days, where Gonçalo and Patrícia
joined their creative minds to find a way to face their challenge of
staying sane through a very rough period in their lives, sharing their
understanding but also their inner demons, and using it as tools to
“create”, and through that, overcome their personal struggles on an
already dystopian reality.
Knowing each other for a long time, it was easy to share and
develop intimacy through their approach on the project, finding a
special meaning and sense through the words of each poem to
subvert our ideas of what the elements [Earth, Fire, Air and Water]
might mean after all. Bringing Patrícia’s intimate voice to incorporate
some powerful words of portuguese poets Eugénio de Andrade, Rui
Caeiro, Filipa Leal, Albano Martins or Cláudia R. Sampaio, they
challenge our common understanding of each element, and make us
give them a new sense, by making connections between the concept
of each element itself, it’s basic meaning, the interpretation of the
poem, and the music production, that wanders between the sound
design and the atmospheric territories.
Besides the main elements of these works, they bring a feeling
that suits as a “soundtrack” to emotions, but distancing themselves
from the common and basic “song” or “music” approach, as well as
the somehow classical “poem with a background music”.
This is something else!

We drop our latest dub with Neekeetone's incredible rework of Moakz's Back To The Earth, a full on dancefloor destroyer with it's wobbling boss and the remixers trademark break choppage injecting fresh momentum into the original. The soulful rolling original mix completes the release on the flip with Moakz once again stepping things out with a deep vibe, as soulful vocals cry “Who’s To Blame?” whilst powerful drums criss-cross with technical malfunctions.

Our dubplates are locally sourced and cut to order on 2mm black lathe in a white cardboard sleeve and shipped in a resealable plastic sleeve.

Mauoq Music is proud to announce its new upcoming single, a very tasty two-tracker revisiting one of the most successful release on the back catalogue.
Scriven Dub, the half-time tune that made Diffrent Music HQ notice this Italian London-based producer many moons ago, gets the VIP treatment sliding it into a more dance floor friendly territory with its incessant rolling percussions as well as packing a seriously heavy bottom-end punch throughout the whole track. 
The incredible talent of Hobzee (one half of Silent Dust, with releases on 31 Records, Warm Communications and more) takes care of remix duties for Caucciù on the flip side, turning the minimal stripped-back original tune into a full-on steppa number featuring a solid rhythmic drive and finely placed bass stabs, all with a pinch of old school feel to it.
This 13th release on Mauoq Music brings two prime slabs of contemporary speed funk, stepping up the pace and energy from previous releases whilst keeping true to the deep and dubby signature traits of the label’s discography.

Here comes the brandnew and 6th part of my sample pack series, which contains: basslines, crashes, chords, drones, drums, stabs, pads and fxs, all in all = 101 sounds in 16bit WAV quality. The pack also contains many one shots: kicks, hi-hats and snares for creating your own rhythms.

The whole pack was exclusively created in 2024 by myself, but partially it also includes some serious sounds of yet unfinished Acid_Lab, Ahmad or Kodama tracks. The demo clip uses partially sounds from this pack (for example: single pads, drums or bassline notes etc.).
