And so, notwithstanding a significant amount of work put toward the follow-up long-player to 2012's Conveyor, here are two new songs that stand unequivocally alone. The songs appeared concomitantly during writing sessions for a full-length record. They are brusque, physical - violent and sexual id-based reactions to a surplus of structured, adaptive thought. The implication is that of a psychosexual totality that gurgles, inchoate and unrestrained, inviolate, despite and in spite of, and in stark relief against the forthcoming Conveyor full-length, due in 2014. This release marks the first entry in an ongoing 7" series titled GOLD, where Gold Robot presents a limited pressing on gold vinyl featuring minimalist packaging and a common visual thread. These records will only be available through the band and directly from the label. We love the 7" format and its history, so we'd like to continue nodding at our predecessors by creating an artifact that fits comfortably in the short-player lineage.

Take away the Thurston Moore speech, the fuzz, the synth and strip the song down to it's bare bones, there you'll find a passionate and emotional song.

With Daniel playing the Piano, Martin's acoustic guitar and Johan's soft vocals, The Radio Dept. have done their best to let you into the emotional side of this song.

As Long As It's You/As Long As It's Here is the first single from the Delorean's 3rd full-length album, scheduled for an August 2014 release.  A track upbeat and lyrically exploring some of the romantic interests and difficulties of relationships, it drives forward with alternating soft/loud, minimal/rich arrangements.

The B-side is a dreamy and atmospheric piece mostly inspired by binge listening of Twin Peaks soundtracks and John Maus.

This initial run is limited to 200 pressings on white vinyl with yellow, pink and black 'splatter' with full-color jacket, black dust-sleeve and included lyric sheet.  Vinyl and digital release on Wednesday, April 2nd.  Preorders begin today and will be shipped on Monday, March 31st.

Conveyor is a Brooklyn-based music project spawned by the fated juncture of a wandering tarot of musicians in Gainesville, FL. Was it kismet or perhaps a primordial summon which led these gentlemen purveyors of sound to individually tune in and migrate North to the bustling seductress known as New York City? Their retort is Sun Ray, a debut EP birthed and released in the warm embrace of Spring 2011. Brimming with lucid, homey synths layered over acoustic guitars and harmonious vocals, they channel extraterrestrial bible-thumpers drenched in love, spouting acid-soaked pop unabashed to beam with the simultaneous embrace of life/death realities backed by a polyrhythmic, pulsing backdrop.
