A história dessa banda começa no dia em que eu nasci, mas vamos resumí-la um pouco: Meu irmão mais velho tinha (e ainda tem) uma bela coleção de discos, e eu cresci ouvindo coisas como Cassiano, Tim Maia, Jorge Ben, Earth Wind & Fire, Cool & The Gang, Billy Paul, etc. Em 1997 eu e um grande amigo (o Celso) resolvemos formar um grupo de rap, porque nós já sentíamos uma grande necessidade de nos expressar através da música, e o rap era o gênero que estava mais próximo de nós. O grupo se chamava Mentes Perigosas e chegamos a fazer bastantes apresentações juntos. Depois de aproximadamente um ano e meio, num momento em que eu passava por uma fase de muitas dúvidas e poucas respostas (pra variar), notei que estava cada dia mais distante da proposta do grupo, então conversei com o pessoal e resolvi sair. Tentei ficar sem escrever, mas quando menos esperava lá estávamos eu, o caderno e a caneta em mais uma das aventuras de Biro. Eu não conseguia deixar de fazer música. Foi quando tive uma experiência muito forte com Deus e percebi que nasci pra isso e que ao invés de tentar fugir deveria me orgulhar desse privilégio. Aprendi a tocar e depois de anos de hesitação decidi que era o momento de reunir pessoas com a mesma vocação que eu e formar uma banda de rap. Começamos com uma tímida apresentação no EEPSG Samuel Morse, no Jardim Capela. Um time improvisado só para aquela apresentação e percebemos que poderíamos, sim, levar mais a sério a nossa necessidade de exprimir nossa alma através da música. Essa apresentação foi em 2004. E foi o "marco zero" da Biofônica. Desde então estamos na caminhada dura, mas gratificante. Desafiadora, mas com recompensas incomensuráveis pela estrada do som.

The history of this band begins the day I was born, but we summarize it a bit: My oldest brother had (and still have) a beautiful collection of records, and I grew up listening to things like Cassiano, Tim Maia, Jorge Ben, Earth Wind & Fire, Cool & The Gang, Billy Paul, etc.. 
In 1997 me and a great friend (Celso) form a group of rap, because we have already felt a great need to express ourself through music, and rap was the musical gender that is closest to us. 
The group was called Mentes Perigosas and we come together to make a lot of shows. After approximately a year and a half at a time when I was through a phase of many questions and few answers (for a change),I noted that each day was more distant from the group's proposal, then spoke with the members and decided to leave. I tried to go without writing, but when we least expected it myself, tender and pen in one of the most adventurous of Biro. I could not stop making music. It was when I had a very strong experience with God and realized that was born that and get that instead of trying to flee should I proud of that privilege. I learned to play and after years of hesitation decided that was the time to meet people with the same mission that I and form of a band of rap. 
We started with a timid display on Samuel Morse School, in the Jardim Capela. An improvised team only for that presentation and found that we could take more seriously our need to express our soul through music. This presentation was in 2004. And it was Biofônica's "ground zero". Since then we've been walking on the tough but rewarding. Challenging, but with immeasurable awards down the road of sound.

Tracey Lee is a former Universal Recording Artist who released a solo album entitled, Many Facez (1997). This album included the hit single, The Theme (It’s Party Time), which settled on Billboard’s Top 100 for thirty-seven weeks. He had the opportunity to collaborate with award-winning artists such as the Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, and Kanye West.
 
Almost 20 years later, Tracey has returned to the music scene as an independent artist under his LLeft Entertainment label. He is currently featured on Jermaine Hardsoul's new single, "You Remind" and Eric Roberson's upcoming release, "Lust For Love". He also released 2 new singles, It’s About Time and Pro Bono (available on iTunes) in preparation for his forthcoming indie project entitled “ESQ” -- with appearances by DJ Young Guru, Eric Roberson, and Algebra Blessett.

He has been in the game for nearly 20 years composing and producing that edgy defined sought after music. Some of his notable accomplishments include producing music for Indie artists, Smooth Jazz FM, drive time for Solid Gold Soul Radio, background theme music for television and radio voice overs with some of Hollywood's renowned celebrities, an award winning medical radio show on ABC Radio, a National Docudrama featuring a member of Grammy Award winning group the Sounds of Blackness, coupled with PA music for The Minnesota Timberwolves after shot game. He also held a 20 year position as Music Director for a Twin Cities based church and is a member of ASCAP. 

Since 2008 Spud Too Tight has been featured/interviewed in numerous celebrity and Hip Hop magazines, newspapers and well known blogs along with radio show interviews. 

In 2009 he created The Producer's Corner with Spud Too Tight a unique celebrity driven multi-genre music production and tech talk show hosted on http://www.spudtootight.com - Grammy Award winning Icon Keyboardist Producer George Duke was the first celebrity to grace the show and since Billboard chart topping, Grammy and Platinum Icons and several from Concord Music Group have shared their music production and technical expertise. In mid March 2010, The Producer's Corner with Spud Too Tight was Ranked No.1 in Kevo Business and again Ranked No.1 of The Top 5 Most Artistic Podcasts' on Yahoo in Associated Content 2011 and remains in the Top 10 status of Smooth Jazz Podcasts. 

At the 2011 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA., he was a guest on behalf of Billboard Chart Topping Guitarist/Vocalist Steve Oliver and Carvin Guitars. 

The featured songs on his website are an appetizer of some of his work. He unequivocally shares his knowledge about various production techniques and is extremely passionate about his craft.

His objective is to be the strategic choice as a studio musician, a collaborative on music projects and serving as a brand ambassador for soft synths, music equipment technology companies and keyboard manufactures. 

In May 2013, Spud Too Tight released his new technical invention to the public called V.S.C. Virtual Studio Configuration. It's a new way for musicians and others to collaborate over the web in stereo and real time without feedback looping. "I always thought with all the technology available to us now coupled with video cam capabilities, remote desktop sharing and other applications, there has to be a better way for the music community to stream audio across the web without using the grainy sound of a USB microphone to a speaker," says Spud Too Tight. 

V.S.C. gives musicians, producers, artists, songwriters, podcasters and more, the ultimate stereo sound quality they have been longing for by eliminating the USB microphone use. Now the ability to work and collaborate across the web with an easy but truly out of the norm simple studio wiring configuration will be something you can't live with out.

V.S.C. essentially creates a "Gateway" that allows audio to be streamed directly from any DAW or Analog Setup over the Web in Stereo and Real-Time (WebRTC).
