Edinburgh-based four-piece Earth Wire mix a wide range of influences to produce a left field, lo-fi and emotionally impactful musical view of the world as they see it. Celebrating genre free-flow, they expose the sentimental in the rage and the rage in the sentimental.
Rising from a multitude of different creative backgrounds and a history of working together in various incarnations, Delighted Peoples started as a duo of loop pedalists based on soulful vocals and electric guitar, inspired to demystify the lyrically alive. Through a mutual appreciation and affinity of ideas they were joined by a rapper and drum machinist and as a four-piece began crafting a sound.
Over a short period of time they have already made a mark on their local scene, with support slots for internationally-esteemed acts such as Homeboy Sandman, Abdominal, Babar Luck and Strangelove; well-received sets at festivals such as Kelburn Garden Party and Audio Soup; and headlining locally-established nights by Too Much Fun Club and Nu Fire.
Earth Wire have self-produced and self-released a debut single and video for their song ‘In Heaven’. They will be releasing their second single/video this winter with a debut E.P scheduled for 2017 and tour to follow.

 It started at 14 years old in the 90s in Miami Florida. I was born in Brooklyn, NYC. With French, & Haitian roots and parents. A new music genre was being created in the 80s-90s & Hip Hop was introduced. Creating music, from the writing of the lyrics and Song to the instruments used for the beat is an awesome experience. Y Create/ Music provides free tuition and music rehearsal space for young people in and around Glenrothes, Fife. It runs every Thursday at The ''Y'' on North Street Glenrothes.  Young people can learn music technology, guitar, keyboards, drums, bass and no instrument or prior musical knowledge is necessary.  All of the music heard here is by 13 - 18 year olds in the Glenrothes area who have been able to record their own demos with musical instruments, guidance and industry standard recording equipment provided for free.
