Concrete Surfers are a Brisbane band to the core, creating a voice to challenge societal norms through forward thinking lyrics combined with hard hitting instrumentation.
Made up of Brothers Jovi & Jamie Brook (vocals, guitar and drums respectively) with mates Sean Foster (lead guitar) and Trent Courtenay (bass) combine their influences together to create a unique blend of garage-rock and pop. Their distinctive sound and energetic live performance have created a fast-moving trajectory for the group of four.

Fresh off the back of a packed out set at Falls festival over the 2020 new year, Concrete Surfers are currently gearing up to release their first single of the year, ‘Never Understood’. The track was produced by Fletcher Matthews (Dear Seattle, Sweater Curse, CLEWS, Fritz) who managed to showcase a step towards the band’s ever-maturing song writing and fully developed sound.

Upon the release of their sophomore EP My Life on Repeat, Concrete Surfers have sold out hometown shows and have supported heavyweights like Royal Blood (UK), The Cribs (UK), The Jungle Giants, Ruby Fields, WAAX, Ocean Alley, The Gooch Palms and more. Concrete Surfers were invited to join the 2019 BIGSOUND line up and packed out their official showcase venues with raving reviews across the board. The Music have labelled Concrete Surfers as “One of the best rock bands to come out of Queensland in recent memory” and after the packed-out live performances of late, it’s clear that there is no sign of slowing down this wave.

Energetic up and comers, The Unknowns are breathing new life into the rocknroll with their raw rock-n-roll sound. The band loves “the feeling playing live gigs gives us and the freedom to express whatever we want”. Appealing to their own generation The Unknowns strive to play good honest rock-n-roll, and to harness their combined talents into greater and greater things through original song writing, recording and live performances.
