He suffered, was ridiculed, condemned, smitten, abused, and was crucified before rising from the dead, effectively raising us from our death in sin. The path of suffering is the same path that led to triumphant glory. We live in His resurrection, so now when we share in His sufferings, when we struggle against evil, when we sacrifice ourselves for the love and salvation of the world, we are also active and faithful participants in His glorious resurrection!
