Equanimity

Cara has been a familiar face on dancefloors in the Melbourne House Music scene for over 15 years, falling in love with Classic House in local haunts such as Q Bar and OneLove at POW early on, then quickly evolving her music taste into a love for Organic House and Progressive/Melodic House and Techno.

Since starting out with her first club gig in May 2021 Cara has risen quickly, now holding a residency at Onesixone (Thursday and Saturday weekly) plus fortnightly/monthly/guest appearances at the Seeing Double, Sky Disco, Warehouse 3000 and Revolver Upstairs, The Emerson and Storyville to name just a few.

Career highlights so far include:

Supporting some amazing artists such as Anthony Pappa, Low Steppa, MANDY, Lo'99, Luuk Van Dijk, MK, Sasha, Monkey Safari and Angelo Ferreri. 

Performed for DiscoBOX at both the Defected 2022 and Glitterbox 2022 Australasia tours.

Performed at Amsterdam Dance Event 2023 for an all Australian showcase.

Awarded Music Victoria's Best DJ 2023.

This was the 3rd time that I played before John Digweed. Although I've been djing for 20 years now it is still a big responsibility to build the set up well. You have to care about the audience and give the professional respect to John as well. You need to fill the dance floor with power and in the same time you have to keep the energy back for the main artist.
Sometimes it is hard to find the "gold middle way".
The first half of the set is a kind of easy house sounds mixed with some deep stuffs, the second half is more serious and you can feel that : "John arrives soon..."
I would like to say a big THANK YOU - for the awesome crowd because they accepted my strategy in this high level challenge.
