Automaton (formerly known as Automaton Adventure Series) was formed in 1996 and disbanded in 2002.  Core members were James van Leuven (drums), Pat Kearney (Guitar and Vocals) and Chris Duryee (bass).  Early years had trumpet and trombone, long-term members were George Meaders (trumpet), Bill Jones (trumpet) and Robert Ackley (trumpet).
