Back in March, a handful of friends and I started getting pretty stir crazy, so we decided that we would get together to make a special livestream/Twitch show for everyone to enjoy while we were still waiting things out.  We all got tested and got together to make Psytrance for President: The Recount.  We each contributed interesting film media creations to go along with the music.  It was sort of a long form music video all said and told.   

This is an audio recording of my mix for the show, one of my contributions.  The thumbnail is another, an image of my friend Yung Crone taken at a mock protest at the Colorado State Capitol building that we staged and filmed. (Photo editing credit goes to Yung Crone themself.)

Psytrance for President was a total blast to work on both this and last year, and I am happy to share a piece of it with you (finally)!

520,000 hectares (52 times the size of Lisbon) of forest in Portugal got burnt this year, representing nearly 60% of the total area burnt in the entire European Union in 2017.
This is the largest quota of land burnt ever in Portugal, and more than 100 lifes were lost in these fires...
We decided to help the ones who survived these fires and also try to prevent this situation of happening again by contributing to valuable reforestation actions which will fight the eucalyptus business (this was first supported by the Portuguese government but has now been banned).

🌻 All profits generated by this release will totally be reverted to reforestation actions 🌻

If you want to go far, go together.” We feel the urge to make a positive impact on our environment, especially with what we are confronted with today. We heal Mother Earth by uniting humanity. This is why we would like to get involved by contributing 20% of this release’s profit to reforestation actions in partnership with Ecosia, to combat deforestation in the Amazon rainforest caused by economic and political undertakings, in the fight against climate change.
Last year, Brazil lost about 310,000 acres of high-biodiversity forests.
Today, it could be experiencing the worst fire season in a decade with a 17% deforestation increase since 2019, threathening wildlife and indigenous communities.
Don't forget that forests are the ones keeping our planet healthy, and us alive.
