Disquiet Junto prompt #0644 (Event Horizon) asked us to record music for a party that we'd like to attend. Everybody loves puppets, even when they're dead, so what could be more fun than a funeral party for a marionette?

This is more of an arrangement than a composition. Its basis is "Funeral March for a Marionette" by composer Charles Gounod, made famous as the theme music for "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". The vague voicings and absurd amounts of reverb are intended to evoke a nightmarish mood. The percussion recalls the clicking of articulated wooden joints, and are those shouts in the distance?

This horrifying pastiche is best appreciated with headphones.
