RUNE148: Komainu — Zeppelin EP — a brand-new emphatic release of the Manchester-based duo on RUNE Recordings.

We're excited to be back with a series of releases from the label's resident artists, starting with a mighty Komainu. Their last two EPs uncompromisingly conquered the Beatport breaks charts, so our team is determined to have a strong re-start of the label, after a four-month break since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine.

Zeppelin EP as an inflammatory melting point of nuskool & progressive breaks, best represents the sound of Komainu and RUNE Recordings as a whole. Four tracks of the release are dedicated to the mechanized character of Manchester and symbolize the technical progress depicted within the music. We are confident that there is no other style to showcase this other than breaks.

What an epic trip.  The first realization of a concept idea we've been chipping away at, finding this location over a year ago - we just couldn't forget about it.  
To say we're supercharged is an understatement.  In an environment that inspires our creative outlet, and recharging us at the same time.  The location we streamed from is simply magical.  Photos, videos, music - nothing was quite able to capture the actual feeling there.  We did our best to share it with you, and hope you all felt it too.  
While our hearts still feel like they're up in the mountains, we're already working towards the next event.  We have a fresh stack of behind-the-scenes work to do.  Everything went exactly the way we wanted to, and there are things that we need to continue to develop before the next event too.  😉

Introduced to electronic dance music over twenty years ago, Corcyra's musical background extends from a classical music upbringing to the underground Washington DC sound, expressing a love and energy only felt through her modern and edgy style. Formally stepping behind turntables in 2005, Corcyra has led her crowds from the boundaries of deep progressive to a driving peak hour, and back with a dirtier, electro breakbeat style.  Her latest project, the revival of the 'Rule of Rune' along with Clandestine, explores progressive and organic house, while experimenting with the modern sounds of techno, all in a live streaming format.
