Returning to the musical undergrowth first explored by Desert Dwellers and acclaimed mycologist Paul Stamets in summer 2020 in partnership with documentary film Fantastic Fungi, ‘One Giant Consciousness’ collects the sounds of six producers from the global electronica scene to echo the message of connection and renewal driving Stamets’ celebrated work as one of the pioneers of mycology research and advocacy in the 21st century. A shapeshifting journey through the deep grooves, soothing basslines, and mesmerizing atmospheres of psychedelic music, the collection ignites the doors of perception with an array of imaginative remixes from producers Hibernation, Nanosphere, Equanimous & Skysia, and Desert Trax artists Gumi and Tylepathy to evoke a sense of interconnection between nature, civilization, and the vast network of beings and visionaries lining the corridors of Earth’s history. Attila started to immerse in the world of sounds in primary school; he played the clarinet for several years and then begun to produce music on his first computer. Cord has released 3 mini-albums and singles and a numerous tracks on compilations. His new EP ‘Suburb Tales’ is a beat-powered psybient journey which originally was made for his brother’s wedding entrance music.

Three tracks, including the Yarn remix, to show us the captivating version of Cord’s reality, which starts with urban psy downtempo and goes to leisured straight kick chillgressive. A project unlike any other comes to Desert Trax this fall. Between 2009 and 2012, psychedelic bass producer Twin Shape created but left unfinished three songs that tied him inextricably to a certain time and place. As the years went on, these pieces remained rough and untouched, until he sought the help of three fellow producers to help him complete these songs.
The result is the 'Auxiliatus' EP. From the Latin to support, Alterra, Shwamp , and COAM stepped in to give Twin Shape distance, perspective, and help to revisit these original creations and give them a contemporary feel on Seeded, D&N and Glimpse, respectively. Three tightly wound compositions that have spanned nearly a decade since their inception now come to life with throbbing low end and alien implications. A strong recommendation for fans of Bird of Prey, Phutureprimitive, and Ott.

Standout Desert Trax contributor Key-G steps in for a remix of the Alterra collab, Seeded, to round out this 4-track set. The Auxiliatus EP is finally available September 13th.

The Cord story started in the early 2000s, with creating atmospheric dnb and releasing breakbeat on Hungary’s legendary Chi Recordings. Later he started to experiment on more psychedelic and experimental genres, then after refining his music creation toolset and process, Maktub EP was born under the courtesy of Merkaba Music in 2020.
Current path is touching the psychedelic genres born from midtempo electronic music, different types of psy-tech spiced with the original Cord vibes: counterpointing motives and rhythmic structures, eastern melodies and interesting sounds.
His music always tries to tell a story with a long, progressing arrangement, spiced up with mind tickling sounds. Bouncing and driving, a great fusion of different influences with strong melodic elements, twisted arps and synth lines.
These are also present when he is on stage: his performance is somewhere between a DJ set and a live act. He uses the tracks very creatively, always resulting in a never-heard-of puzzle.
