A major electronic music pioneer from Detroit, Juan appeared behind aliases such as Cybotron, Model 500, and Infiniti releasing many classics of Detroit techno.

The 1982 electro track "Clear", recorded by Atkins and Rick Davis as Cybotron, is often considered the first proto-techno track. Continuing to the experimentation by fusing the extra-terrestrial funk of Parliament Funkadelic with the futuristic rhythms and hard math of Kraftwerk and the progressive dance theorems proposed by Giorgio Moroder, the Model 500 12"s on his own label Metroplex laid the blueprint for Detroit techno.

Along with the tracks made by two schoolmates from the grade below, Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson, Detroit techno quickly made its way across the atlantic and immediately sparked the emerging rave culture and soon after the entire global dance community.

Moving through the later 1980's as Model 500, Atkins continued as one of the most prolific and sought after producers of electronic music throughout the 1990's, culminating in the use of an Atkins' original as the musical bed for the 2000 launch of the Ford Focus 'Detroit Techno' automobile.

Packing clubs nationally from Detroit to NYC, internationally from London to Venezuela, Juan has mastered the art of soaking up new rhythmic elements from contemporary dance music while keeping his unerring, instantly recognizable sense of melody intact.

Much discussed and anthologized not only for his 20 years of production credit but also for his ability to rock a dance floor, Juan Atkins' music and DJ-ing is deified in Europe and embraced all over the world. Juan has also been prolifically releasing albums, remixes and collaborations on Belgium's R & S Records, Germany's Tresor, and others.

Sven Väth (born 26 October 1964, Obertshausen, Germany) is a Frankfurt based DJ/Producer in the electronic music scene since 1981; playing for over 32 years and counting. His single, “Electrica Salsa” under the alias OFF launched his career in 1986. Lovingly referred to as “Papa Sven” by his fans, Sven Väth has made his mark in the music community by being one of Germany’s “pop stars” in the nineties, running two famous night clubs in Germany, and starting his own company Cocoon, that encompasses a booking agency, record label, and a branch for events. He is recognized for cultivating the underground electronic music scene not just in Germany but in Ibiza as well, with his own night at Amnesia for fourteen years and after-parties at creative locations around the island. Sven Väth is a major proponent of vinyl, using only two decks and a mixer for his extensive DJ sets, the longest he has been known to go for is 30 hours.

Kevin Saunderson, one of Detroit techno`s founding fathers and an inspirational DJ who can lift a crowd with anything from hard techno to slick, funky house, enhances the X-Mix series with a Transmission from Deep Space Radio.
Deep Space Radio was a mid 90`s show on Detroit`s WGPR 107.5, coceived by Juan Atkins and aiming to showcase cutting edge dance music in a way no radio station has ever done before or since. Kevin Saunderson was one of the many influental DJ`s who contributed regular mixes.
Using turntable techniques augmented by edits and other studio magic, Kevin Saunderson`s X-Mix recaptures the excitement of a classic Deep Space Radio show, while remaining musically close to his enthralling live set.
