Top British Dj/Producer Dave Clarke kicks into the X-Mix series with a stunning electro set drawn from a decade and a half of digital dance.
The X-Mix Electro Boogie places classic mid `80s grooves next to the cult contemporary cuts in which techno`s dancefloor predecessor still lives and breathes and flourishes.
"I`ve always loved this music", says Dave Clarke, who`s been spinning electro since this stuff first came out. Here he has crafted a unique subsonic soundscape. The pulse and the surge, the clatter and the chatter; this is how the future was always supposed to sound.

DJ Hell at Direct Drive (Chicago, 1997)

Me and Ben thought it would be fun to play a long DJ set together at Globus, the upstairs floor at Tresor in Berlin. 
We last played together (as Frequency 7) in May 2013. This time we played a ‘back to back’ DJ set, I’m pretty sure playing 2 tracks each for the whole six and a half hour set. All we had in mind beforehand was to start with some Dub and ‘see where it goes’. 

It was a lot of fun so we wanted to share the recording with you.

While also drawing on ambient and chillout elements, ambient-techno would be associated with labels such as Warp, R&S, Apollo & GPR. Releases focused more on albums than 12-inches. The genre also departed from dance-oriented sound heard at raves and instead saw popularity as a form of electronic listening music.

@dr-rubinstein has been an ever growing force on the international scene since relocating to Berlin in 2012. A vinyl-enthusiast at heart with a distinct rave-focused style, her high octane performances are marked with impeccable selections spanning genres, decades and a myriad of acid basslines.
