Rafters

Nerves are an experimental punk band from the West of Ireland. Having spent 2 years refining their sound since their last release, the band are now ready to present their debut EP Glórach.

Blending punk, hardcore, industrial and samples, the band have pulled off a thrilling mix of melody and noise. It is underpinned by lyrics dealing with loss and mental health in the rural west and a visual aesthetic seeped in its inherent Irish sensibilities. Death, degradation and emigration in Ireland are themes that are bound to the DNA of Glórach.

Recorded and co-produced by Daniel Fox of Gilla Band, this body of work captures much of the sonic devastation that the band are capable of dishing out live.

VBM 232 - SLOW SALVATION 'Japan'
Japan is the latest single from dream pop project Slow Salvation. After releasing their debut album 'Here We Lie' in 2023 on Velvet Blue Music the duo of Christina Hernandez and Travis Trevisan continued their cross country collaboration. The results are a brand new single that is simultaneously catchy and dreamy, an earworm for the New Year. Collaborators include Matt McCartie (Driver Eight, Theft) on drums and mastering by Simon Scott (Slowdive).

Buzz phrases are often thrown around frivolously when it comes to new and emerging artists. However, when it comes to describing the immaculate rise of Manchester's CORELLA, applying them feels more than justified.

Performing together since meeting at university, the band's compliment - consisting of Joel Smith (vocals), Jack Taylor (guitar), Ben Henderson (bass) and James Fawcett (drums) - professes a message of youthful confidence in exploring what it is to grow up in the UK today, meting out the challenges thrown their way with a united front.
