The Poeticast is delighted to welcome an exciting and talented Techno artist this week in the shape of Cologne native Kevin De Vries. The first half of the Guest Mix is strictly exclusive fresh productions from Kevin De Vries.


Kevin de Vries is a young and upcoming producer who was born in Germany and started his career in 2012 at the age of 18. By 2015 he has already stolen the show and is named by many as one of the fastest rising stars and greatest talents ever seen the light of the techno industry. He has played already next to Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing, Tommy Four Seven and other great artists. His productions on labels like his homes Complexed where he is a successful A&R, and Berlin’s Advanced which is his agency, on legendary Wall Music just to name a few, have been played and supported worldwide by the greatest players like Richie Hawtin, Marcel Dettmann, Dave Clarke, Slam, Pascal Feos, Alexander Kowalski, his partner in crime and Germany’s legend Drumcomplex and more. All those have happened by his 20 years of life. Just imagine what is coming next from this wonder-kid during his long remaining road of his career. Keep your eyes and your ears on.

After Silenzio and Robotique de l’Amour- in french, Vampiros Discos is Theremynt’s third Ep- an electronic journey in Portuguese-tribute to  Horror Brazilian Filmmaker  Ze do Caixao and all the vampires movies that have accompanied us as teenagers such as Dracula and the Likes. Somewhere between dirty house, krautrock and deviant techno, it is an uplifting track made for the dancefloor . The three remixes are following the track’s original path pushing it to its edges: Andrew Claristidge from Acid Washed has given an interesting version both deviant and cinematographic, the Club Bizarre duet is offering a more techno version  with obsessive bells while legendary techno producer David Carretta is immerging us into a new beat and rather technoish hypnotic tune. The result is a perfect DJ tool -worth trying on the dance floor in the middle of the night.

Premiere: Shaded 'Creepy Fingers'

Energique, coloré et aérien, ainsi se définit le son de Cordeiro, jeune Dj basé à Rennes et passionné depuis 14 ans de musiques électroniques. Son enthousiasme et son talent lui ont permis de jouer sur de grandes scènes telles que le batofar, l’iboat ou encore Astropolis.

Vision de la Forêt : Le jeune Cordeiro, du haut de ses 20 ans impressionne par sa technique et son temps passé derrière les platines. Vrai pile électrique qui sautille au rythme de sa house qui claque, il à déjà malgré son jeune age, enchaîné de nombreuses dates et partagé l'affiche avec des grosses têtes puis joué dans des hauts lieux de la teuf !! Pour l'anecdote lors de sa dernière apparition à Rennes, il s'est fait offrir une  bouteille de champagne par Spencer Parker tellement son warm-up était bouillant !! Engin à suivre.....

SNTS - Disappearance Of Fate

Self professed 'brand' and 'author' Architectural - also and arguably better known as Reeko - has announced that he has returned to the well of "intelligent techno" to draw the ‘Seven’ EP for his own eponymous imprint. .

Following on from the release of his debut LP under the moniker,  ‘Secret Chapter’, and the 2015 release of ‘Amour’ on influential Dutch imprint Wolfskuil, the two tracker features dance-floor antics from contrasting points of the dance-floor journey. ‘7.1’ is armed with an evolving dub-stab-riff with sweeping pads making for an uplifting, energy fuelled romp not too dissimilar to the works of Robert Hood and Mark Broom. ‘7.2’ roughs things up a bit with convoluted noise, all the while keeping its peak time presence à la Adam X.

With both cuts threatening to leave the dance floor in ruin, we're certain you'll be hearing these bad boys putting some of the world's best sound systems to the to the test over the course of the coming year.

Set to arrive on vinyl February 19th and digitally March 21st, you can stream '7.2' now.

The 'Echo 8' EP is loaded with four heavy-artillery cuts, all of which throw caution to the wind and bite hard. It's fierce, it's thunderous, it's quintessential Dehnert. We're giving you the first spin of the title-track and you'd better prepare for the fire.

Metalic. jangling synths throw their weight around from the first beat and continue to do so with the backing of a heavy kick throughout. Cosmic synths back up the main riff midway through but it's pretty much no-holds barred from start to finish. Arm yourself with this one and reap the rewards on the dancefloor.

Berlin adoptee Julie Marghilano is set to drop her 'Innerspace' EP via Sol Asylum at the beginning of March.

Having taken the German capital by storm since making to Europe from Las Vegas, it didn't take long for the eclectic producer to set her sights on showcasing her music on a global scale and here at Data Transmission we're certainly more than happy to assist her. Serving up three fresh slices of interstellar house - backed by a cosmic remix from the legendary Fred P - the 'Innerspace' EP sees Julie continue the rich vein of form that saw has made us strong supporter of her work and will no doubt make fans of anyone who hears it.

So without further ado, we'll stop waffling on and introduce you to the inbound record's title track. Check it out now.

From the first beat you're drawn in with pulsating riffs, thick, weighted kicks and fierce, groove-inducing snares. Before the melodic sound of Floorplan hits, let's go back to where it all began and who better to take us there than the king himself.

Here at Data Transmission we like our techno to big and bad (and occasionally bordering on sadomasochistic), which is why, when we heard Thomas Delecroix's new Sliders EP, we had to hit the Frenchman up for a Spotlight mix.

Across 3 tracks, the Sliders EP offers a cohesive vision of the hard-knock dancefloors of the future. Layers of digital power are scarred deep by sizzling, acidic lines that bubble and warp, hypnotising through sheer intensity.

Delecroix's mix is much the same, blending pummelling percussion, crass synths and sheer fury to launch an all out assault on the eardrums. Featuring his own material, alongside work from Mind Machines, Martyn Hare, David Tarrida and more, this week's Spotlight may be intimidating, but give it a chance and you'll reap the rewards.

Thomas Delecroix's Sliders EP is out February 29th on vinyl and digitally on 25th April via Rive Droite Records.

Spotlight Mix: Thomas Delecroix

Shadowy Avian duo SHXCXCHCXSH toast their upcoming debut LP with a simply amazing mix.

The Avian label has firmly established itself as a potent force in contemporary techno since it was founded by Shifted and Ventress in late 2011 with a singular sonic and visual aesthetic, ensuring a palpable sense of excitement and expectation attached to whichever artist from the small roster of Avian artists stepped forward to deliver the label's first full length album. That the honour has been handed to SHXCXCHCXSH with the soon to drop STRGTHS LP adds a further element of intrigue thanks to the lack of discernible information regarding the allegedly Swedish pair.

The forthcoming album is a logical progression from the material SHXCXCHCXSH have released thus far on Avian, Semantica and Subsist, delving further into the realm of hollowed-out techno across seven cuts brandishing typically scrambled track titles. Having agreed to contribute a mix, SHXCXCHCXSH turned in a thunderous hour long selection that contains moments of sheer sonic devastation (around the 40 minute mark in particular) yet also fits in specially edited post punk curios, demonic chanting and unreleased material, some of which is on the upcoming album.

The mix has been a near constant on the Juno Plus office stereo since we received it; however, attempts to engage SHXCXCHCXSH in further dialogue were met with short shrift with the following cryptic message their sole response:
