Next up on the Local Selection Mix series is Dublin-based selector Tolentechno, who provides a high-octane live recording from Vision’s 6-Year Anniversary showcase at Farrier & Draper. The rising DJ expertly blends early 2000s techno nuances, ghetto cuts, and vintage trance euphoria.

Tolentechno steps up for the 237th edition of the Local Selection Mix series. The up & coming DJ is best known for his work as co-founder of The Shed Resident’s. The no-holds-barred Dublin-based party has welcomed a number of high-profile DJs including Daria Kolosova, Imogen, Dr. Rubenstein, D.Dan, Faster Horses, DJ Fuckoff and more.

Tolentechno, the self-proclaimed Bootleg Connoisseur, has been making waves in the Dublin dance music scene in recent years. His eceletic and expansive approach to DJing has captivated dancers at venues across the capital. The youngster’s ability to pair unlikely tracks together keeps dancers on the edge of their seats. From bass-quaking electro cuts to straight-forward techno artilray, tongue-in-cheek style edits, and more, the Dublin-based selector’s USB is stunningly chaotic, but his skills in the booth command both attention and respect.

His love for the fun side of dance music drives him to funky, fast-paced, hard-hitting music with identifiable samples and quirky interpretations of cult classics. Tolentechno throws curveball after curveball at the crowd, ranging from hardgroove to gabber, trance, and back.

Tolentechno’s contribution to the Local Selection Mix combines elements of hip-hop, funk, techno, and house music to create a distinct sound that is based on his fundamental ethos of juggernaut track selections and breakneck mixing techniques. The youngster’s inherent flare in the booth is both dynamic and bold. He excels when mixing at fast-pace layering sounds and creating tension throughout the mix, resulting steamrolling style hour mix.
