The majority of todays youth listen to a form of music known as rap/hip-hop, rap being the style in which the artists uses his words while hip-hop refers more to the beats which is then often accompanied by a rap from a rapper, they go hand in hand with each other to make this genre. When you hear today’s music in this genre you hear artists talking about materialistic things they value such as; cars, money, drugs, women, and often-about crimes they have committed. They do still talk about the struggle of coming from the ghetto or hood (poverty stricken areas) and of gang violence but it’s not quite what it use to be. When looking at when rap and hip-hop first came around in the seventies you can see a very different meaning being convoyed through the music, there seems to be more of a focus of the struggle

France A. Nautica, a male poetic rap artist, from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has always had a passion for music. Though he has been misguided by the deception of “Street Life”, he is now taking a turn on his life and making music his first priority. As a full time rap artist, spending every hour on the hour in a recording studio, he has made arrangements to release his first mixtape come 2014 labeled “Poetic Justice”. France has multiple music videos uploaded on his YouTube page (which you can subscribe to) feature some of the songs on his soon to release mixtape. He states that his music includes “real life situations”. Under all circumstances he has gone through all of the above instances in his songs at least once. Though very in depth in meaning, he keeps it simple and memorably catchy rhymes. For example he raps, “Life is good but death gotta be better, gotta be better than Gucci and Louie sweaters”. His creative charm within his rhymes has created a buzz worth hearing. Be on the lookout for his mixtape releasing year of 2014, and more.
