First written in 2006. Eight years later added a bit. I recorded this in one take and it isn't perfect but I was pleased with it and wanted to share.

Dear friend, it's hard to shake it
It takes a toll on you to fake it
In a world with promises that it can't keep

Cross that out, never mind. 

Inside it’s like a TV
Flipping through the channels you see
Every thought that’s telling you you’re wrong 

Scratch that, one more time.

You say the words but not the ones
You bottle up, and it’s no fun 
Becoming 30 people 
Before the day is even done

You’re captain of a submarine 
That’s sinking only in you your dreams 
Because the only thing you show’s
A smile but I read in between 

So who am I?
When we lose ourselves in each other
Seeing ourselves through someone’s eyes
Sometimes 
We give it all up for another 
When they don't know the things we feel inside

In the hopes that you will know me better

A box of letters from way back when 
But they just stopped, why did they end?
But letters lost are never gone 
There's someone left to sing your song

Hush- Acoustic Truth

I love to write and record acoustic music now and again. I mostly do originals but once and a while you will see a cover on here. I started out writing lyrics and eventually learned guitar thinking I needed music to put them to. I once and a while fiddle around with other types of instruments besides guitar and vocals but that is what I use for the majority. A lot of my music includes a lot of harmony and soft lullaby-like acoustics. I hope you stay and take a listen! :)
