This is the eighth in a series of Module Music pieces. It uses fm-synthesis. It is based on a spectrum and sub-spectrum between A4 and F#5. The music is generative and uses both  markov chains and random ranges. The source-code can be found at github.com/danielstahl/module-music-8.

The day is wearing a thousand shades of fall
Red, green, brown, and lucid as rain
Home is where the stories are insane

The drops of rain
I’m falling again
Towards the path of thee
It’s another lemon tree

Average 
The one I don’t belong
The one that keeps me mighty and sharp
As the thunder keeps the light

I fall for the shades 
And it falls into place to alter the origins of mine
Into a home for every soul

Containing There is no such thing 
For that infinity is the only word
I can take shelter under the loopy roof

Here are my lines
And if you look closer
You’ll see yours
Just between the lies

Not the one of repetition
But some just can’t keep it in the momentum

Here are the shadows
I’ve been ready to share

Here are the meals
I’ve been in to prepare

Here are some of the shades
Not meant to fade further away
For that, I have many homes to ride in the say

Recorded, mixed and mastered on 25 Apr 2024 by Jim Lemanowicz at Blissville Electro-Magnetic Laboratories of Massapequa. This was also Day 1364 of the 100 Day Project.

Floating in the breeze,
A single butterfly.

 

Regarded as the father of contemporary haiku, Masaoka Shiki was a poet and literary critic during the Meiji period Japan.

He advocated realistic observation by “sketching” (shasei) poems and going out into nature with notebooks, thus abandoning the traditional subjects of haiku of the time. His advice for an aspiring poet was, “Use both imaginary pictures and real ones, but prefer the real ones.”

Animal and nature lover, writer, haiku poet, visual artist, photographer, micro-publisher, dancer, and street-dog advocate. Corine is the creator and publisher of the Chinese zodiac haiku series of anthologies. If you enjoy her music and want to donate towards street-dog care and sterilization in Faro, Portugal, your contribution is welcome and will be put to good use.   She lives in the countryside in Portugal.

Corine had formal music lessons in recorder and piano when she was little but stopped when she was thirteen. She has always been in love with dancing, including ballroom. Due to the fact that she has lived in various countries she carries a little of each one with her wherever she is, including musical influences. For that reason her compositions can be classified as eclectic.
