The Duel was written with the challenge of creating a song with full lyrics, music and production using one item as the theme of the whole piece as well as incorporating as many as the production techniques used in the previous songs. The subject chosen to set the story was a poncho and this immediately created a narrative of gunslingers and outlaws.

The inspiration for Banx In C came from a session where Terry Riley and his generative piece known as ‘In C' performance which was then built on with a live acoustic performance.
