Formed in response to the Second Vatican Council’s challenge to find practical means to preserve and use the rich heritage of Latin chants and motets and to explore the repertory of music used in other communions, the Chamber Choir performs sacred choral music ranging from chant to modern works.

Kevin Birch has led the chamber choir since 1995 – and has served at Director of Music at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church since 1992.  He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Iowa, with previous studies at New England Conservatory and the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam.
