Cormac invites Tjade to round up the summer with a touch of melancholic dreaminess. Les Hautes comes out on Cormac‘s esteemed Polari imprint 25th of August.

The three-track EP translates into ‘‘the highs‘‘ and it serves as a perfect end-of-summer soundtrack. Les Hautes is synth-heavy and lush, with a touch of acid moments, subtle kicks and haunting vocals - evoking the dreamy cinematic sonic potency which allows an enchanting otherworldly send-off.

Les Hautes was written during the first months of the pandemic, pushing out the very last bit of inspiration to embody the moments of the fading dancefloor happiness.

“I first encountered Cormac about 15 years ago when I was a resident at an after-hours queer party called Yello and he was a regular guest. Many years later we bonded over high energy house and disco. I thought it was a nice touch to pay homage to those times, and there's another tip of the hat to Belfast party starters Ponyhawke who have carried the mantle for diverse and inclusive dancefloors in Belfast here in 2023.  The lead track is a collaboration with a Ukrainian artist, Ready in LED and it had Polari written all over it. Olya is a superstar and I’m very excited to be working with her.”

Ready in LED who has recently released on Polari herself, has made a stellar contribution to Jordan‘s forthcoming EP, she lends her extraordinary vocal prowess to the opening track, "Over & Over," infusing it with captivating strength. Cormac, once a hidden gem in the world of dance music, has quickly gained widespread recognition as a respected selector. Hailing from Northern Ireland, this queer DJ is now making waves on dancefloors worldwide with his unique blend of HI-NRG, Italo-House, and Techno.

He became a fixture in London's iconic nightlife scene, gracing the floors of renowned clubs like Trade, Nag Nag Nag, and Bugged Out! 

 His DJ sets have been featured at major events such as Sonar Festival, PollarWeisen, Circoloco, Robert Johnson, WHOLE Festival, Homobloc and Adonis .

In Berlin and across Europe, Cormac is celebrated for his epic closing sets at Panorama Bar and Snax, sometimes lasting up to eleven hours. With free rein to explore diverse sounds, he has become a fixture in the club's lineup, keeping the crowd grooving until the early hours of Monday morning with his extensive 20 years of DJ expertise.

Cormac has held a monthly residency on Rinse fm since 2020.

In 2021, he launched his own label, Polari Records, named after the old-school gay slang once used in Europe. The label highlights both new and established producers, with each release featuring collectible artwork from LGBTQ+ artists.

In May 2024 the first Polar Records event was held at Panorama Bar.

Cormac's BBC Radio 1 Essential mix featured exclusive unreleased tracks from Polari alongside his debut solo release on Polari, the beloved anthem "Heartcore". As one half of "Comets", he released music on the esteemed Berlin label Ostgut-Ton. His track "Sparks", paying homage to Cowley and Bobby O, dropped in 2022 on Polari Records. In 2023, he debuted on Running Back Records and released "Leather ’n Lasers" on Polari Records.

Cormac's Resident Advisor Mix was released in May 2023.

Cormacs Queerly Beloved podcast launched on 9th January with Romy from the xx and Andy Butler aka Hercules & Love Affair. Season 1 also featured Peaches, fka.m4a, Fat Tony, Josh Caffe, Lakuti, Kim Ann Foxmann and Planningtorock. The podcast was already one of the top 10 music podcasts in the UK with only two episodes released.

Cormac is an insightful and sensitive interviewer, warm and welcoming, able to put his guests at ease navigating sensitive topics with humour. He has a degree in psychology, and has made his intention to be a good queer elder, capturing the stories and histories of artists for the benefit of everyone. Sharing his journey from growing up in Northern Ireland during the troubles, his years as a club kid in London, to his 16 years of sobriety and work as a queer health advocate.
