This is the mix I did for Halloween 2020, after when Halloween used to be a "thing". This is a PUMPIN' & high BPM mix; perfect for working out or wildin' out. "Thriller" as a nod to Michael Jackson, but "A Classic" because I pulled most tracks from my "Classics" folder, which is where I file remixes with classic vocals. I have some heavy Tekno in the mix, but hopefully you enjoy the remixes that I used. The vocals on almost every track are classic, from genres that span House, Techno, Pop, Trance, and even a twist of Hip-Hop, and vocals that span from the 80’s to 2020. Lots of vocals in this mix since I was DJing for a large crowd that consisted of a lot of commercial music listeners, but I threw in an underground twist to introduce them to them to underground sounds ;)

A Classic Thriller (Halloween 2020) - David Paul

Los Angeles based DJ has been Djing for 11 years. Started mixing electro/house then got into Trance, he then really got into deep house/ bass house such as 'Night Bass & Anjunadeep'. Then one day he came across Drumcode which put him onto Techno he then started to explore more into Techno. During this pandemic he started to mix more Techno which he really enjoys! We are delighted to welcome Daverage J Normal back to the label, this time
together with sc00ps. The two UK producers deliver a superb two tracker that
will deliver on the dancefloor.

Opener Ding Prong lays down a tight low end groove with a hypnotic bass line.
The track builds with dubby stabs, airy piano lines and a powerful synth lead
which carries the second half of the tune.

Ping Prong takes a more laid back approach but carries a real punch. The
track is pushed forwards by a tribal percussive synth line before launching into
space with the powerful bass front and centre.

A guaranteed trip for the head, heart and feet!
